The remote functions with the UN65NU800D

The first that I order had to returned because the buttons didn't work well. I would try to change the channel and the volume would adjust, that kind of stuff. I was sent a replacement and this one worked on for a while. Sometimes when changing the channel the button would stick (Not on the outside but on the inside) it instead of changing one channel it would run through 40 channels before I could stop it. Now it's doing the same thing as before. The buttons are not working well. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't . The original Samsung remote is much better quality, but just so expensive, but I'm not sure is $30 for this generic one is worth it.Update: about 6 months from receiving the replacement I started having trouble with it. It was never perfect, but the voice command worked, which is what went out on the original Samsung remote. I had purchased the extended warranty through Amazon so I filed a claim and was sent a refund immediately. I'd say sometimes the extended warranty is worth it, esp. on electronics that are known to be unreliable.

I purchased this product to replace the original remote yo my smart tv. I ordered the remote according to the model from the tv; the basic functions performed as expected; however I was disappointed to discover the voice control did not work. I feel this remote should not be advertised as a voice controller remote if the function does not operate.

The setup and pairing for the Samsung TV was immediate and voice control worked for the TV.The remote would not pair correctly to the Spectrum cable/dvr box. The remote recognized the box, but it would only change channels and volume. I could not use the left/right - up/down ring to control or open the cable menu and scroll as I had with the Samsung Remote.The photos of the control boards show the Samsung OEM remote board on the left and the Replacement on the right. There is no comparison for the circuity on the Samsung board to the Replacement board.*I will not request a refund as my dog chewed off the top of the remote and separated it just three hours after I put the batteries in. It was however, easier to see the board and know why the 'Replacement' does not work like the Samsung OEM Smart Remote.

Works on the TV most of the time, but is glitchy. It will not successfully pair with or work to control any other equipment (i.e., cable box, soundbar, etc.). Save your money and buy a legit OEM remote.

This is not an original replacement. Does not have radio control do you must be pointing the remote at the tv in order to work.
