If we put this around the perimeter of our house, will there be "drift" via ants or wind to other areas of our yard where there are berries & herbs?

I don't think so. So little is required to stop the ants - just a sprinkle and it works. No need to do the whole perimeter of the house - just in a few spots and it does the job. Make sure you keep the container stored inside for maximum shelf life

My issue is carpenter ants in a tree. should i just sprinkle the granules around the perimeter of the tree? the ant powder i applied has washed away

You will need to put it where the ants can find it. In the tree, around it wherever. It doesn't take much.

Will this kill pharaoh ants?

I don’t know what pharaoh ant is. After hurricane HARVEY our yard was full of fire ants. Called an exterminator and watched him ONLY use this product. I asked him was that all he was going to do ? YES he replied. He told me to call him back no charge within 2-5 days if I still had ants. I DID call him back and got the name of the product. It works for sure on fire ants. If I see any ants now, I just sprinkle area I see them. Then they are gone.

Will this harm a 3 year old oak tree. Ants are about 18" away in dirt under mulch pile
