great budget gaming machine with ryzen 5 2600 ryzen 3 3100. MSI are a good make and you get all the features you really need for a low price. Unless you are mad about overclocking or building a high cost machine this is all you need.Perhaps also consider the newer A520 board for a similar price

Great little motherboard that works with the 3000 series Ryzen. I used this with a ryzen 5 3600 and Corsair 3000mhz c15 memory. The memory did not get up to the correct speed without and update to the bios. With the latest bios from 2020 installed from Msi website and in the bios change the A-XMP settings to On and save restart the motherboard runs the memory at the correct speed. Other little thing, this board only have two fan connections. One for the CPU and one for a system. If your case have more fans you need an fan hub or cable split. I went for a 4 port fan hub. This motherboard only have a 4 pin power connector for the CPU but if you are going to run a 12-16 core cpu you shouldnt be buying this anyway so its alright. Just to sum this motherboard up. It is a great value great system for a gaming pc running pci gen 3 graphics but with limited upgrading path, but then again how many of you spend twice the money on a motherboard with features you never use.

My teenage sons first pc build needed to be simple, reliable & powerful enough to handle his (xbox series x comparable) gaming and digital art. This MSI am4 board paired nicely with a Ryzen 5 cpu, an MSI Radeon 8gb gpu & an MSI 600W bronze psu. Yes it's basically an MSI pc... That though is advanta as everything fits together perfectly. Note it only has 2 ram slots but the 8gb x 2 Kingston Fury Beast my son installed are plenty to start with. The board is simple and square with mounting points in all the right places. It has an m.2 ssd port which my son used with a 256gb ssd & paired it with a 1tb 2.5 sata. It is fast and smooth for most games. Yes there are better, more expen ones of course, but for a total cost of around €500 all in it's a good starter build that he is very happy with! Remember to buy an am4 cpu cooler!

Random picture but I just finished my first build, bought this motherboard for £53 and it’s great, very straight forward and nice bios layout, nice stuff.

This motherboard is great for the price, however I am disappointed by a couple of things: 1) I noticed that my GPU covers the NVME slot on the card. Not everyone’s will I’m sure, but mine does. Now I cannot have both! 2) only one header for fans. I bought an adapter, but some people say it’s bad to do this, and also ruins my cable management. 3) only 2 ram slots - fine I knew this when I bought it, however they are very close to the cooler. I use the Wraith Stealth cooler, probably the most common in the world, and based on the name is quite low profile, and had to unscrew and rearrange the casing just to make it fit. If my cooler was any larger, I would have potentially been unable to install a ram stick into that slot!! (Note, this occurred because like most people I installed the CPU before the RAM, and as I was using the preinstalled thermal paste on the cooler, I was reluctant to take it off again… if I had installed the RAM first it wouldn’t have been an issue. The same issue may occur if you are later upgrading your RAM and don’t want it to be as quick a job/have to buy thermal paste). Obviously at this price point I don’t expect necessarily things like built in WiFi or Bluetooth, however I still expect a well designed motherboard that does not force me to compromise using the different functions on the board, such as with the NVME slot. Otherwise it’s a well made board, and I do still recommend it, kind of, for the price. MSI are a good brand, and I do like the quality of their products, I just feel a little more thought could have gone into this. Also the name is ridiculous. ‘A’, Pro, AND Max? Yet all while being M-ATX and budget? Which is it??

I have coupled this board with a Ryzen 5 1600 and 16gb of ddr4 ram. The performance is great. I have a Vega 56 graphics card and every game I've tried runs as smooth as butter on ultra at 1080p. Very happy.

Bought this motherboard for a PC game. MSI are know to make good gaming products. Instructions manual is very handy and allows you to scan a QR code leading to MSI’s YouTube channel on how to build your PC. Only downside so far is the PC-EX1 to connect the WiFi card. If you are installing a Graphics card that comes with a cooler, you simply can’t put the WiFi card as it sits right under the fans. Now I have to return the WIFI card and get WiFi dongle to do the job.

It's a motherboard - it does what it's supposed to do, no complaints :)

The motherboard is good for first time builders, but it does not support ARGB for your case fans so you have to buy a separate fan hub to control the rgb.

So when i got this motherboard i was rly excited waiting for something good i also read a review that said that they didnt get this msi board and got an asus one in the box of the motherboard another review complained abt the board which is the main reason im writing this review now im not sayig that stuff will happen to everybody but still and i also read some reviews that where talking abt the board's color which me personally already knew the true color sooooo yh that's it.

A fan hub is needed, otherwise it's a fine budget motherboard, I got it for 40$, I was happy with my purchase.
