4lbs of Maine Red Hot Dogs

My order arrived right at lunch time. Broke open my box from Taste of Maine and promptly put some red snappers in the steamer. Love these hot dogs, but can't find them in stores around me. For dessert, whoopies pies from Old Town in Maine. I miss some of my old stomping ground foods, and Taste of Maine allows transplants to remince about the good ole' days in the great state of Maine.

Sorry but 4 lbs for 80 dollars is a bit much even for something so delicious.....sent to family in texas and actually made niece cry...lol

Great red snappers

The flavor is pretty good. But I was very disappointed with the alleged "snap". If you are used to other natural casing dogs (Boar's Head, Land O' Lakes, Wimmer's) you will probably be disappointed as well. Honestly I thought they were "skinless" dogs until I read the label. Perhaps grilling or frying them would give the casing a little more oomph.
