With songs inspired by the Beatles, the Wonder Pets journey to Liverpool to save a band of mop-haired Beetles who are trapped in a Yellowish Submarine. Plus 3 more episodes in which Ming-Ming, Linny and Tuck save a chameleon, a platypus, a kitten, a duckling, a sheep and a hermit crab!

"Kelp! We Got Tangled Up in Kelp!"
The Wonder Pets! get groovy in the newest release, "Save the Beetles!" Yes, the Wonder Pets are called up on the ol' telly with a request for help from four members of a famous rock band, the Beetles, whose yellow submarine has gotten tangled up in kelp. As they journey to rescue them, they'll dive straight into Beatlemania pop-culture (and reference numerous Beatles song titles and lyrics along the way!) It's a fun journey, with two of the Beetles being voiced by... well, no, not the Beatles themselves, but by members of the cast of the stage play "Beatlemania!"In the second half, "Three Wonder Pets and a Baby!," the Wonder Pets find themselves with a baby on their hands -- a baby pig! This one is really cute and could quickly become a fan favorite. It may be even more fun than "Save the Beetles!" There are many cute baby-related things, including various pictures of actual babies (my guess is children of the show staff.)None of the other episodes released on this DVD are new either. Still, they're good content. One of them is "Save the Chameleon / Save the Platypus." "Save the Platypus" is particularly good, because it shows how a friend and team-member (Linny) can maintain a level-head when two others (Tuck and Ming-Ming) are arguing. There's also "Save the Duckling / Save the Kitten" and "Save the Sheep / Save the Hermit Crab" (music from both of these stories is featured on the "Wonder Pets!" album release.)It's a shame that this DVD continues the tradition of not really including much in the way of special feature content. The only real special feature is the "Kelp!" music video -- which is just an easier way to access content that is already part of the episode. I was really hoping for behind-the-scenes stuff on "Save the Beetles!" -- "The Backyardigans," after all, gave us a behind-the-scenes look at "International Superspy," complete with scenes of Cyndi Lauper recording a song for it.

Fun and Lovable!
There's nothing I don't like about this series! I chose the Wonder Pets initially because I know they sing through out and I thought this would be a good pick since my 11 month old daughter loves music and singing. Well, the songs are fun and catchy but in no way obnoxious, the writing is witty, and the Wonder Pets themselves are not only cute and sweet but also teach simple life lessons that usually revolve around thinking creatively and team work. It's also a plus that there are funny little jokes thrown in for the parents to get... We don't really watch a lot of TV in our home so this only gets played once a week, if that, but sometimes we'll play it twice in the same day and I have yet to get sick of it.I don't have a single complaint! I can't wait to get all the DVD's!

A Wonderful DVD!
My 2 1/2 yr old son is in love with the Wonder Pets, so it was AWESOME that I found this "Save the Beetles" dvd. Of course their paying homage to 'The Beatles'.. so it's fantastic that they make these beetles have British accents and the fact that they're stuck in a yellow submarine in the ocean off the shores of Liverpool. Of course they're submarine is caught in some kelp (a song performes is 'Kelp' (The Beatles 'Help' is revisited here)). Great music- parents won't even mind watching this one!! Definitly worth buying if your child is a Wonder Pet nut. :D

Viva Wonder Pets
My 10 month old cannot get enough of the Wonder Pets. She even rocks and tries to dance when she hears the songs. This one is great, although I wish the Beattle segment was longer. I actually like and approve of Wonder Pets for her, b/c they are sending a good message. Plus I do not have to listen to the schreching, nails on chalk board, screeming from dora the explorer. Dora drives us crazy. More Wonder Pets..........

Your little one will love it. You might have to fight the urge to throw things at the TV
First off, my kid is joyous over the Wonder Pets. She sings and dances along and laughs at their shennanigans. These are all nice things as I only put on videos once in awhile and only when I need to get something done without a little person climbing up my leg. If you can avoid being driven mad by the cutesy singing and lisps then I suggest you get it for your little one.
