Helped with the pain
This seemed to help a lot with my IT Band pain. I also used a knee brace with long runs so not sure if it was the brace or the IT Strap, but the pain eased.

Seller Great, Strap Not
UPDATED: X-small strap fits, but doesn't stay up. Keeps falling down my leg. Maybe it works better for thigh area, but I wanted this to secure just above my knee, compressing my IT band. No matter how many times I tried, it would fall down. My Cho-Pat strap I wear for my knee issue is great, but this thing is sitting unused. I went back to my Pro-Tec IT strap, although luckily I may have overcome my ITBS and haven't had to wear it.OLD REVIEW: Small strap was too large for me. When I measured I bordered on the largest measurement for the extra small and they even said to go smaller if you're close. I've just never considered myself Extra Small ever, so that's why I ignored the advice. I've sent the small back for an extra small, but I'm not sure I'm going to like even the extra small. The strap doesn't hug my leg as well as other straps (Pro-Tec) I've purchased. I heard and read such great things about Cho-Pat, I figured I'd try it.No issues with the Seller.

Not Recommended
I have ITBS and ordered three different compression straps off the internet. This one I give the lowest review, because unlike the other two products, this one did not stay in the correct position on my thigh to provide compression. Due to its lower elasticity, it falls from three inches above knee cap down to right above the knee cap in just a few minutes of exercize. Though the hardware looks great, this product just didn't work for me, and I suspect, for most people. The other two products are the ProTec - IT Band Wrap which gets my highest review - see the product page. The PatStrap gets my second place vote, only inferior to the ProTec product in that it is a thinner band that feels more restrictive. It also eats my leg hairs when I take it off!I recommend the 'ProTec - IT Band Wrap'.

Velcro rubs the back of the knee raw
Either the sizing information is not accurate, the instructions are misleading, or my strap is faulty. I ordered my ITB strap according to the sizing information provided by Cho-pat. The instructions are rather unclear and vague about how to orient the strap while applying and how to thread and secure the strap. Even a simple threading diagram would help. I tried multiple configurations/orientations, and went with the only one that held it securely onto my leg, seemingly the only way I could wear it. After maybe only an hour of using the strap while hiking, I had to remove it due to the pain and irritation of the exposed velcro rubbing against the back of my knee, leaving it painful, raw, and red. It seemed much too small.
