The Tuttle Twins and the Education Vacation Paperback – June 12, 2019

The was for a preteen girl who loves to read and it was just what she wanted!!! It was previously parent approved!

This book is best as a pro-homeschooling polemic for adults. I would hesitate to give it to a child stuck in a traditional school but would prefer a book on how to cope with the school while still exploring the child's own interests. And there are things that everybody should know. The schools no longer generally do a good job of teaching these things but neither would a self-directed home school child (obsessed for example with math and science) necessarily learn such rudimentary things as how to distinguish a sentence from a sentence fragment, how the USA has three branches of government, or how George Washington came before Abraham Lincoln. So, while I heartily support self-directed learning, I think a little home school time should be spent making sure that kids know the rudimentary basics in all the main areas.

We absolutely love these books! Especially when teaching children that’s it’s okay to go against the grain with the way you think etc. Highly recommend getting these to give your kids a different perspective.

The entire book series is great for 4th thru 8th grade, depending upon their prior exposure to free market economic concepts. The series covers real life scenarios and how issues can be solved by creativity, free choice, and a little elbow grease, virtues that aunts/uncles, grandparents and home school parents will want to promote. We own the entire set.

Learning doesn’t have to happen in a classroom, and sometimes learning is actually much better outside the classroom in real life experiences. This book is great for explaining education on such a basic level. My kids love all the Tuttle Twins books!

My 4 and 6 year old loved this book, and the whole series. It was entertaining and easy to understand. It helped me further the conversation about our government as well.

Connor does it again! My 8 year old cannot put these amazing books down! Also, prompts some pretty important discussions here on the home front. Keep up the great work!
