Martian Passport Smartwatches with Amazon Alexa – Analog + Voice (B00FI16820)

Love it. I dont need my watch to have 30 complicated functions, most of which I'll never use. I want to be notified on my wrist if I dont feel my phone vibrate in my pocket - I want the watch to look good and like a watch (love the retro Dick Tracey look) - I want notification to be subtle enough for business meetings and lastly I want to be able to answer a call through the watch. If I have to pull my phone out of my pocket, what's the point. This does all those things and does them well. Battery life is impressive at 3 days (watch for devices that have sat on the shelf without being charged as it will impact battery life significantly)If you use google voice commands you can issue any associated command through the watch... ie "Whats the weather today" and you'll hear back though the watch the response. Makes the watch a whole lot "smarter".Last comment is that is that its probably questionable at $280 given where the competition has gone, but if you can find it for less your doing okay.

I am so impressed with this watch.Let me start by saying I was looking for a smart watch that I could answer calls and recieve text messaged on while driving. It should also show the time. Anything else wouyld be bonus pluses for me.I have tried to other smartwatches, noehter cut it for me and this was really my last attempt to find what I wanted.And it has passed all tests so far. I am using it with a Nokia Lumia `520 with W8.1.It connected perfectly with bluetooth, I can make and recieve calls with the help of Cortana, this voice assistant works exceptionally well on this watch.Calls are clear both ways the speaker on this is superb. There is no lag or cut-out of sound in a conversation and the display shows the name of the caller (yes, it has downloaded my contacts into the phone) it also shows the incoming number of callers not in my list, this has really surprised me. I can ask Cortanato check the weather, she reads out the timeandtemperature to me. It will annouce I have a new text and do I want to hear it and after listening gives me other options....all very impressive!It is a solid, well built watch that always shows the itme on its analog display, I am into day three of this and the battery it at 60-70% with heavy usage the first two day including two 15 minute phone conversations.I wish the LCD screen was a bit larger to allow it to do a bit more though to be honest, it does just what i need as-is.Those of you that want more features, or a fully animated display with colors should look elsewhere ( but plan to be charging your device every night)While it won't suit everyone, and the price for a new one is steep, (I bought it "used" from Amazon Warehouse Deals at quite a discount) ) it is a great device!I believe they will be coming up with a windows app and firmware updater very soon...can't wait!

Let me start in saying, I knew from some research that I would not be able to use all the functionality of this watch with Windows Phone 8.1However, the watch looks nice and elegant. Circa Dick Tracy esk, but less cartoony. So the look is good.The functionality?1) I did not have a problem pairing it with my phone.2) I had to find the manual online, to indicate how to force the watch to not be a speaker for music (A2DP) it was easy enough. Gotta turn off the setting and go through the re-pairing process.3) I can NOW actually call up Cortana by pressing a button. NO other watch I've tried (U8, Samsung, etc) can do that. Also, you can take calls on your wrist, good for those of us who drive alot in California.Do I want facebook notifications, SMS read outs, etc? Sure. But Cortana makes up for it and tells me everything.I bought this watch used, and I love it!

You can get the EXACT SAME WATCH, albeit with a WHITE FACE, right here on Amazon - for $64.99. At THAT price, this is an EXCELLENT BUY for someone looking for this type of watch. I have the white face model, and will not go into great detail, you can read the other reviews, but it DOES work as advertised - AND it IS very easy to make/receive calls ON THE WATCH - a really great feature. BUY THE WHITE FACE ONE before they are all gone. The company is basically out of business as of the writing of this review (Feb., 2019)

I originally purchased a black Pebble for a smartwatch but was quickly disappointed due to low performance on the battery and it being aesthetically just unappealing. However this Martian watch turned out to meet all my needs perfectly. Notifications work well for text, emails and social media. I can keep the vibration on in meetings and never have to check my phone for incoming. Calls and texting with Voice command works very well. The interface with Google Now or S Voice has been a little frustrating and works most of the time. I don't think its the watches fault it has more to due with Samsung Galaxy Siii than anything else. Battery life on this appears to last about 5 days between charges which is much better than the Pebble experience where I could not get more than 38 hours.

Love, Love, Love this Smart Watch.I've had every kind of Smart Watch (Samsung, LG, Chinese made ones) and they all had their own issues for me (Too bulky, Too many notifications to bug you, Too ugly, Toy looking, Too cheap, etc....).This one has a beautiful analog watch and looks Classy and chic and brings me all kinds of complements on it, I can tell it exactly what notifications I want to be displayed (Text, Email, Caller ID, Apps... ) which I can read on it's scrolling screen or ask for it to be read to me by the watch through it's speaker.I also get to answer the phone and talk (Clear sounding speaker and powerful Microphone) or simply see who it is calling on the watch's screen and decide to answer or reject it, get this watch, you won't be disappointed.I AM ONE HAPPY CAMPER. :-)
