TFADostmann Thermometer wireless Info, 30.3065.02, indoor and outdoor, with indoor hygrometer, incl swiss precision sensor

Bought this to replace a more expensive weather station, that had become, after only a year natch, unreadable. Still has a sensor for outside, and a dinky little battery operated screen that sits near the house phone. Much easier to read than the flashy multi coloured one. Bargain!

Made in PRC for TFA the build and operating quality is excellent. Very pleased with my purchase.

Very clear and easy to reset - much better than my old thermometer

Update 3. 4 months in and now the sensor battery lasts only 1 week each time. Brand new Duracell alkaline battery 7 days. Verified with multimeter with two different batteries. There is a short or summer other internal issue. No sign of water ingress or other damage. No good. Can't recommend.Update 2. Over the week I can see the signal strength bar drops intermittently from 5 bars (full signal) to 1 or 0 bars. The sensor or receiver has not moved and there is no physical or apparent radio interference so not sure what to make of that. The screen doesn't go blank though so it still gets some sort of signal.Update: changed review from 1 star to 2 stars as it seems to get signal from outdoor sensor after I repositioned the receiver. Not ideal. It works but no way it's rated to 80m distance. I think a radiator might have been blocking the signal.Initial review:I was hoping that the negative reviews highlighting this issue were the exceptions. It seemed the overall review rating was very high. However, unfortunately this sensor failure has also now been my experience. On day 1 the device worked perfectly. Highly accurate as measured against other sensors in same location and 5 bars of signal strength between the outdoor and indoor device. They are only 6 metres apart.On day 2 I noticed the outdoor signal reading was blank. Not received. The signal strength had dropped to 0 bars. Both indoor device and outdoor sensor had not changed location and both had new batteries.It seems that for some reason the outdoor sensor signal (or the ability of the indoor device to receive it) has become unviable.I'll leave it a few days before requesting a refund to see how things progress. One also emailed the manufacturer and linked these reviews. Surely they are aware of this fault by now. Will update review soon.

Installed with brand new batteries, all worked well. I particularly liked the permanent max/min display - many others require a button press to see max/min. Outdoor temperature failed after about 10 days. Installed new batteries, Carried out re sync and it worked for about 2 hours, then failed again.I have no confidence that another one would perform any better and will seek replacement from a different brand.Amazon issued an instant refund with no need to return product.

This functions well, but the battery life in the separate wireless sensor is very poor. Batteries only last a few days in winter conditions. I have had 2 older models of TFA wireless thermometers, their external Sensors have 2 AAA batteries and they last for months even through winter.

Simple to set up - just install batteries and place the remote transmitter outside in a sheltered spot shielded from direct sunlight. It seems quite accurate, within 1 C when compared with two existing instruments, and the automatic reset every 24 hours allows easy tracking of min and max temperatures. I haven't measured the working range on this one, but my other TFA units work fine at 30 m through several panes of glass, so I expect this one would also be OK. A good buy.Update November 2022: After working just fine since purchase, last week it started displaying incorrect outdoor temperatures. Now it shows either +23C for Out now, High. and Low, or after changing the battery, -23C for all three. Transmitter battery also replaced, but the display still totally wrong on outside temperatures. The indoor temperature displays are now also going wrong. Shame, it seemed so good, and my other TFA instruments have performed well.

Dieses Thermometer ist für Innen- und Außentemperatur. Der separate Sensor für Außen ist ohne, dass man etwas einstellen müsste über Funk verbunden. Die Reichwete ist echt sehr groß. Ich konnte auf der anderen Hausseite problemlos messen. Batterien waren dabei. Besonders finde ich die Anzeige für Höchst- und Niedrigsttemperatur, die alle 24 Stunden ermittelt wird. Das Design ist ok, so dass man es gut aufstellen oder aufhängen kann. Empfehlenswert für jeden, der für einen guten Preis innen und außen die Temperatur angezeigt bekommen möchte.

Les températures indiquées par la sonde extérieure sont trois degrés supérieures à la réalité. Pas de souci à l'intérieur par contre.
