Youngs Harvest Yorkshire Bitter Kit - Makes 40 Pints! - Home Brew Beer Kit

I haven't made any beer for about 25 years, but got back into it after making some apple wine. Easy to make just add water and sugar to the concentrate in a primary fermenting bucket until you reach about 19 litres then add yeast and wait about a week, then test with hydrometer, if around 1.00 then decant into pressure barrel and wait about four weeks for the taste to mature and the beer to clear, then enjoy. Like their Harvest beer also, not quite as strong as less sugar added, got one of those on the go also so two lots of primary and pressure barrels on the go at the moment, building a pub in the back garden complete with pool table and mini brewery, if covid doesn't get me.........the beer will.

I would have liked to see another review of this first but decided to research online. I currently have this brewing and ready to bottle and so far there have been no problems, the yeast was good quality and instructions precise and clear.Delivery of this product was fast and ahead of time although the box was slightly damaged this wasn't an issue.I will be purchasing another of these and recommend this kit.

Easy to make, and pleasant tasting ale, which is ideal for first time homebrewers like me.

I have made beer many times using the beer concentrate and have been more than satisfied every time I've used this home made beer concentrate, so I am sure my next batch will be just as good.

Of the cheaper home brew kits this is the best I have found so far.There are better home brews out there such as the Wherry but at this price you cannot fault it.To brew you will need to sanitise everything....follow instructions....leave in fermenting bin for 2 weeks....bottle it adding half a teaspoon of sugar per pint (ideally brewing sugar) and I would suggest you leave it a month before drinking.You could drink the first bottle 2 weeks after bottling as it is ok..but it is worth giving it longer:2 weeks in bottle ok, 1 month good, 2 months very good!!!

First time of brewing beer and can highly recommend this product. I’ve just started drinking the first batch and it has exceeded my expectations - it’s lovely and tastes exactly as it should do. Only one slight niggle - it’s difficult to get the instructions off the tin as they are on the back of the label and you may lose some words in the process. Apart from that, I’ve just ordered another one so must be good!
