Flower Designs Coloring Book: An Adult Coloring Book for Stress-Relief, Relaxation, Meditation and Creativity

This is my first "adult" coloring book and after spending a ton of time researching the different ones on Amazon, decided this one would be a good one to start with. I haven't started coloring in it yet, but the quality is excellent and I love all the pictures. I will definitely be purchasing more from this author in the future. I'm planning to use the Stabilo 30 point 88 Fineliner markers (lots of research on the markers as well!). I'm not sure if the pages will bleed but I do plan to put something behind the pages just in case. There is only one picture per page (not double-sided) so that means you can use any pen/pencil/marker you want. I even like the spine of the book. The stripes continue from the front left to the back so if you had quite a few of these they would look pretty cool on a bookshelf. Weird observation, but still. :) I'll update again once I've actually colored in it. :)Update: 5/22/15: I've had this book since July 2014 and have only colored two full pages. I don't get to it as much as I wanted to, but it also takes quite a while to finish one page. I think these pictures might be too detailed for me. I'm still not sure about the markers I've decided to use in this book either. I'm using the Stabilo Fineliner markers and they don't seem fine enough. I've considered other options like the Bic but I'm not sure those would be much different. We do have the Sharpie ultra fine pens but those aren't as sharp as the Stabilo. The pages do bleed so I put a manila folder behind the page I'm coloring. I'm not going to knock down any stars because I still think this is a high quality book and I think it's a good value, but since each page takes so long to color I may look at other options in the future. I like to get the pictures finished so I can see it finished and move on to the next.

I never knew such a thing as adult coloring books even existed. I am totally smitten with the idea! I loved doing those black felt posters but the design choices were limited so I quit coloring for a long time. I so enjoyed it while it lasted. I excitedly searched and choose this one as my first and I am not disappointed. I love flowers. Very pretty flowers and flowering designs. Nice outlining and the paper is of good quality. I used gel pens on the bigger designs and only one shade out of the many that I used bled through a bit onto the next design. The smaller more detailed designs will require fine tip makers or colored pens/ pencils. This has been so relaxing and fun. Time and space just fade away. I get lost in this. My mind clears and nothing else is there except the next shade I will choose. If you need help centering yourself so to speak this will do it without any effort on your part. It just happens! I have since ordered about 10 other coloring books even though I have not yet finished this one. I am so sold on this! Very inexpensive hobby and so good for your peace of mind. Color me priceless!

Than a barrel of monkeys!! There are no repeated pictures, thejpaper is thick so the colors don't bleed through but it wouldn't matter anyway as the picture is only printed on one side.This would be a great gift for a person of any age. It is perfect for any medium, so far I have used crayons, colored pencils, water color pencils, gel pens and highlighters.....all on the same picture if you like!I haven't tried it yet but I like to draw using graphite pencils....I think an entire picture done in pencil, light and dark with shadng would be worthy of framing.I have used my rapidograph pins to draw designs within the designs. The possibilities are endless! I have even cut out sections and covered my letter envelopes. Yes, I still write letters! The mailman loves them.Do yourself or someone else a big favor and gift them this wonderful book!!

This book has amazing designs, a great variety, and good lines (not too thick or too thin). The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5, is strictly because of the weight of the paper (a little too thin) and the fact that the pages are not perforated so as they are easy to remove. I am left handed and it is not always comfortable to color full page designs. I had ordered two books at the same time and both were slightly wrinkled in one corner. Not enough to return but still not wrapped or handled correctly by UPS. As I wrote in my other review, I would like to thank the reviewers that include photos (whether colored or not) of some of the pages in the coloring books on Amazon as it makes it a lot easier to decide which books and designs you will like before purchasing.

If you like coloring flowers, this book is an excellent choice. It has a wide variety of flower patterns, printed on one side of the page (back sides are left blank, to allow for marker bleed-through.) There are a variety of designs in this book. Some are quite complex and require very detailed work. Others are bolder and can be done with larger markers. If you're using alcohol-based markers like Sharpies or Bic Mark-its, I recommend sticking a sheet of paper behind the page you're coloring. It will keep the markers from bleeding onto the next picture. Flowers are pretty much my favorite thing to color, so this book is perfect for me.

This coloring book is one of the better ones I've bought. A huge variety of designs, very clear and even though they don't take up the entire page, they take up most of it. I know if I find more books by this author I will definitely purchase them.I have learned they are very easy to color if you take them out of the book. I do wish the pages are perforated, but since they're not I use a simple wrapping paper cutting tool which works very well to remove the pages without damaging the art.Yeah, I will definitely buy this book again, but it's gonna be awhile because I have a lot to color.

Various markers and pens bled through right into the following page, ruining the image. Definitely recommend only colored pencils for this book. Disappointed

Lovely colouring book and good quality. Designs are fabulous and vary in difficulty. Pictures are one per page. Great price and quick delivery.

Per nulla soddisfatta di questa edizione, io per me ho acquistato la versione italiana ed è molto meglio, pagine più spesse sulle quali i colori risaltano, non essendo più disponibile per mia sorella invece ho acquistato questa, pensa do fosse uguale (i disegni lo sono in effetti) invece le pagine sono veramente sottili, se avete intenzioni di usare i pennarelli sconsiglio vivamente, i colori si espandono così tanto da uscire dai bordi dei disegni!

El libro es adorable. Paso horas entretenida. Muy buena calidad y dibujos muy bonitos. Hasta para un regalo está perfecto.

This colouring book should definitely be classified as "fine arts" as many of the floral pictures appear quite complicated. I am looking forward to starting my first picture now that the weather is getting colder. I hope that this book will add some colour to my winter activities. Anyone who likes the challenge of colouring finely detailed floral prints will enjoy this book.

C'est un achat que je recommande fortement.Très chouette cahier avec de jolies planches à colorier,elles ne sont pas trop grandes donc on ne s'en lasse pas du tout.
