Connecticut Electric Parallax Power Supply (CESMPSC13-HR) 30 Amp Power Outlet Box with Breaker, Grey

Really nice box with two design errors that make it useless for most RVers. First, the plug is not centered over the notch for the cord. If you have any kind of stiffener extending from your plug, you won't be able to get the cord through the notch and get the plug in. Second, the door is hinged on the side rather than the top. If your cord has a built-in handle, as most do now, you will not be able to close the box while plugged in. If it was hinged at the top, you would at least have some protection from rain. This design forces you to leave the door open and flapping in the wind or to cut the handle off.The product without the breaker from the same manufacturer at least has the plug centered over the notch but the door has the same problem. If you have exactly the right cord/plug I suppose you could get it to work but not sure how you would know that beforehand.

Bought this box in 2019, had installed by a licensed certified electrician. This fall started having issues with it burning cord ends. Replaced them plugged in and everything worked fine. Couple days later caught the smell of electrical burning. Opened box saw breaker was still on, no smoke, and no smell. Closed the box and immediately heard arching from inside the box. Opened it back up shut the breaker in the box and house off. Opened service panel to find whats in picture other than breaker was pulled out by me to try getting better look. Talked to electrician and said sounds like breaker went bad especially since I wasn't pulling 30 amps with what I had turned on in camper. Breaker is not gfi which for outdoor use you'd think it was. Was happy and satisfied until this happened.

Would have given 5 stars, but box came with broken breaker. Didn't notice until taking out of box for electrician. Since electrician was here I had it installed rather than coming back. Requested a replacement breaker only, but they wanted entire electrical box returned. Went to hardware store and bought new breaker for $8.00, which was less hassle and cheaper. Works well now, fits my RV cord.

Mounted and serving 120 VAC power to our motorhome. Great piece of electrical equipment!I like the space on the hot buss for a second circuit breaker and it is serving an outlet mountedon the right side of the breaker enclosure! Nown that is what I call thinking ahead!By the way, I am a 82 year old retired Electrician/Electronics Tech!GR

Excellent fit and finish. The door is self-locking by the spring-loaded lever at the bottom of the panel. Makes it nice for one-handed closing. Outlet has tight tabs to keep the plug securely in-place. The included breaker circuit is a great feature. ** Pro-tip: Flip the included breaker off prior to removing or installing either plug end from the outlet box or RV connection point. This will save your plug ends from deteriorating due to arching.

Got it hooked up and seems to be working other than the door on it wont close with out cutting the plugs handle off.. design needs to be updated to more room for the plug. -3 stars because i had to ruin my rv plug to get it plugged in and for the box to close...

I initially purchased a 30 amp rv outlet at a major home improvement store. However, I needed to run 8 gauge wire (50 foot run) and upon purchasing, I realized that the outlet only took 10 gauge wire. I am very happy with this new purchase even with the increased price (about twice the price).This product has a 30 amp breaker for the outlet, which comes in handy when plugging in travel trailer. It comes pre-wired with a ground bar and neutral bar, which accept at least 8 gauge wire. The breaker is installed on a bar that accepts another breaker (although no cutout is available on the box). This accepts at least 8 gauge wire as well. The only disappointment is that this box only has cutouts in the bottom for wiring. I was installing on the outside wall of my house and initially planned on going straight out the back. However, a quick trip to the store for an LB solved that.Overall, this is an excellent product for safely connecting a 30 amp travel trailer to your house.

This is a well constructed enclosure with good quality components. I'm not sure why they do not post better and more pictures of it. Even the box that it comes in has a great deal of details on it that I'm sure would convince the prospective buyer that it's well worth the price.I was able to meet my goal of bringing this project in under $100.00 and I am a happy camper. The only disapointment is that it's made in China.

Easy to install and does the job for what it's made for.

Had to cut out a section of the chassis to allow cable to hang straight down. Quick, with grinder and file.
