Strong and efficient engine operation requires precise measurement of both the volume and density of the air entering the engine. An air flow (MAF) sensor is relied on to accurately measure and communicate air flow information to the engine control unit (ECU). And as the world's leading manufacturer of MAF sensors, you can count on every Hitachi Astemo air flow sensor to deliver precise results that will help your engine operate at maximum efficiency. Each component in our MAF sensors is made from premium-grade raw materials All dimensions and components are manufactured to tolerances that always meet or exceed OE requirements Review: Like New Again - Perfect fit and works great. Review: Buy locally that way you don't double pay - Sensor gave out after only being in the car for less than two months car started bugging I didn't think it would be the mass airflow sensor since I had just got it now I have to go to the local auto parts store and pay 100 bucks for another sensor because I cannot wait I need my car

My ECM is putting me on the fence but seems like a good unit.
Ok so as far as the test go I would rate it 5 stars however in my application with ODII it seems that a break in time be allowed for the computer to adjust. I have not been able to get the ECM to full adjust to this MAF but I would say that it would seem as it made the truck run better It has not stalled and seems to like going 75 mph+ down the highway. Until everything is running fine I can not say the quality and working of the unit meets my satisfaction. If I had to buy another one I would. just not completely certain what is going on in my case.

May not fit a converted van for some reason. Mine is considered an unfinished chassis so maybe that's why it didn't fit.
Did not fit my Ford E-150 2000 5.4. It was just smaller. There must be something different about my van as I ordered a different one years ago and it didn't fit either. My van is a stripped van, that was converted by Jayco. I know the VIN shows up funny as Esurance would not insure it as it came up as an unfinished vehicle. I took the sensor off the housing and modified the mounting holes to make it work and as far as the sensor working, it did fine. Just be aware if you have a converted van. Hitachi products are the best. I've seen them made myself.
