Cheap and cheerful
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I think you get what you pay for here. The box files aren't of great quality but if you're just looking for something to store away some paperwork and aren't constantly going in and out of them, then these are fine. There were a couple of minor blemishes on the outside of mine, but other than that, they look pretty good. The main thing to be aware of is the closing mechanism. They come in the open position with the door seeming to not quite match to the outside. You need to press on the box lightly to line up the two bits of plastic then push them together. There's no satisfying click, but it does seem to hold steadily in place. I also wouldn't put anything weighty on the top; they're somewhat flimsy, but will be ok sitting on a shelf. Check the video for a look at the closing mechanism. In short, these aren't suitable for heavy office use, but good enough for home filing of bills, etc.

Adequate but not robust
I bought several to replace my old 'Elite' brand box files, which are more than 30 years old but showing some small signs of wear (although nothing structural). The new ones look prettier but sadly they are nowhere near as strong as the old ones. The top one arrived slightly damaged (as if another parcel had been resting on it) and the remainder, now filled and in use, do the job OK but are simply not as solid. The catches, or 'locks', are a particularly weak point. Still, they are worth the money paid, no-one has ripped me off, but with reflection I would pay more and get a better product

surprisingly good quality given the price and previous reviews
surprisingly good quality given the price and previous reviews, boxes have plastic top and lower plates, agreed they might not hold up to long term frequent office use, but for home use they are ideal for storing insurance/driving docs. school letters, bank statements etc.. you get the idea.if you want tougher boxes, pay more

Reasonable value for money
I bought these despite previous reviews as I felt they were reasonable value, which has been confirmed.Delivery was prompt, but as they were contained in a lightweight cardboard box, I can see that they could easily be damaged in transit, as I see others have experienced. Are they as strong as claimed? No, but they are adequate. The latch mechansim in particular is very flimsy. They illustrate the old saying that "you get what you pay for".

Not as expected.
Over engineered, plastic where its not needed. I just wanted the old fashioned card boxes. They will do the trick so I kept them but another item 'fixed' that wasn't broken.

These are ok
These are what you expect for a box file. I find the opening & closed of these a little bit annoying as when you are closing them. they don't always shut properly, but as they are just for my paper work, they do what I want them to do.

Not the best
These feel very fragile and not much cheaper than more robust boxes. I would recommend paying a bit more, they will do for now but left thinking they wont last long!

Hold documents as it is meant to
The boxes themselves are fine and do the job. The lock is a little flimsy, but for the price I can live with it. Unfortunately when we received the delivery, one of the boxes was actually crushed to a point that it couldn't be used, so that was disappointing.
