Network+ Guide to Networks 7th Edition

I bought this book in electronic format for a class I'm taking in college. I previously have taken the Cisco CCNA exam many years ago, so my knowledge was a bit rusty. I found this book was a great review and resource guide. It goes over all of the topics related to Networking. I like the real world stories, the review questions, and the case projects/hands-on projects. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to learn more about networks.

The book arrived in perfect condition. A lot of color pages, which really helps when you have to choose the red or blue wire ;) Contains plenty of clear pictures with blow up circles that zoom in and enhance the points they're trying to get across.

I needed this book for a Computer Information Systems course called Networking Essentials. The book provides very in-depth knowledge of the subject. I found the material very easy to read.

For a Networks and Servers class I personally found this textbook (of the 2 we used) to be more efficient and thorough. Information was presented clear and concise and broke down each module pretty darn well. But boy, get ready to read and take good notes, cause sometimes the info gets a tad mind numbing, so you gotta go back and read it a few more times. :P But there really isn't much other ways to present this kind of info, you just have to wrap your mind around the concepts and be really good at visualizing the concepts to grasp them.

Book was in great condition for used. Would buy again from this seller! Item as described and fast shipping!

There are a few places where the material can be a bit confusing as definitions of key terms are not properly defined, and other places where terms are mentioned, but not expounded on until much later in the book. The glossary is not too helpful as it omits the page numbers. It has great color diagrams, information, and material, but if you're not taking a class that requires this text, look elsewhere. There are a few alternatives that definitely give you more bang for your buck when it comes to studying for just the CompTIA Network + certification.

The book is in great condition ect. However, it would be great if the product description would also state that it does not include access to MindTrap. That you have to pay for that separately.

This textbook is horrible. The only reason I am reading this book is for a college course. If you are a college professor reading this review then please take my advice and find something much more user friendly to provide to students. This textbook pushes the CompTia Network + Exam, and reads like a very poorly written instruction manual. This books is a horrible introduction to networking, and I hope that I prevent someone from having the arduous task of attempting to make sense of this text.
