Product is great, comes with 3 different head attachments, would be nice if it came with a case but you can adapt. Battery not included. Excelent heat gun, solid construction, uses a lot if power, so get 6Ah battery or bigger

Heat gun is very very good for melting heat shrink for electrical work

Looks the part and will do the job I need it for but the fan isn't the powerful when compared to mains power heat guns. Hot enough though

I use Heat Shrink Connectors , a lot of them....usually use a corded Heat Gun to melt the solder inside but thought I'd get a cordless one for outside repairs - takes forever to heat up the sleeves and is unable to melt the solder inside....it's on it's way back to DeWalt, waste of money

Not quite as brutal as the corded type, but really good and convenient for small jobs such as shrink wrapping cables.

Okay, I purchased this as a heat gun for shrinking cable tubes, and to be honest it works fine. It's pretty simple to use, top switch for heat settings, safety switch on the trigger and that's pretty much it. I have only just used it lightly for shrink wrap ties, and have no intention of using it for paint stripping. So it doe the task that I needed it for. I did look at cheaper options, but since I already own a Dewalt drill and have the batteries I didn't want any more rechargeable batteries hanging around. With the exception of my Ryobi !
