**Q: Are the sides hard or soft?**
A: Soft sides.  Lifetime warranty too!

**Q: How wide is it?**
A: About 8 1/2 inches width left to right.  About 4 inches wide front to back.   It is very small.  May hold a sandwich and a bag of chips.   Not much else.

**Q: Does this have a separate section for an ice pack?**
A: No unfortunately it doesn’t, but I have been putting it in the outside zipper compartment.

**Q: Does it come with a shoulder strap?**
A: Nope. Just the handle.

Great lunch box and easy to care for. Design is nice and a bonus. Interior can be wiped with Lysol wipes for minor spills and air dried. No change in shape from this school year. My 1st grader has used it since Christmas and I waited to submit this review to be fair. It has held up great!
