A great knife for small jobs around the kitchen
I have a number of Global knives and I love them all. I was looking for a 5" utility knife to fill the gap between my 6" Santoku and 3.5" paring knife when I found this knife. I'm a big fan of Santoku style knife. So I gave this knife a try and it's not disappointed me. It's well balanced and razor sharp out of the box. The knife's thickness is just about right, thin enough to slice soft veggie like tomato, onion with ease, but strong enough to handle carrot, yam, sweet potato... as well. I find the boarder blaze is a bit more easy to slice and dice than the typical utility-style blade.I recall on reviewer claimed to have rush issue with this knife. I found no evidence of that on this knife or any other Global knives I have been using in the past 10 years. Overall, I highly recommend the knife if you are looking for something compact for small kitchen work.

Great knife!
I love this knife. We got it so we could teach our 8 and 10 year old kiddos how to use a knife and it's perfect. I use it a lot myself. 😊

Sharp as heck!
I love this knife! I think it’s the sharpest I’ve ever owned. I hope I can keep the sharpness over time.

Was really excited about this knife but the blade is somehow already damaged.
I'm a Global fan and was very excited to start using this knife. It's a pleasure to work with and I've only used it for normal residential kitchen food prep for a few weeks but I've noticed the blade already has a lot of nicks in it. I hope they'll come out when I have the knife sharpened but it's disappointing to see them there after just a couple weeks of use.

Incredible knife
Very comfortable in hand, sharp and easy for cutting racks of lamb and whole rib eyes.

Super sharp, be careful! Perfect knife for cutting vegetables and meat. All round great knife, good value.

Great little santoku!
Nice little santoku. Turning into my go to knife. Size is just right for small kitchen tasks. Plenty sharp out of the box.
