Good HDMI-solution for the Neo-Geo-CD.
First - English is not my native/first language, so please excuse my possible errors.Got this cable today for my Neo-Geo-CD. Important - there is a switch, so you can change the image to 16:9 ( please dont do that ) or to 4:3 with some black bars left and right. Everything you need is included, so you dont have to buy a HDMI-cablle or other things ( of course you should have your own HDMI-TV before ).I am not a technical expert, but I would say you get a 4:3-picture in RGB-quality - surely much better than Composite.Playing Pulstar I experienced no ( for me noticeble ) lag or bad sound quality. There might be other solutions like a Framemeister or the OSSC which are definetly much more expensive. With thiscable you have ( in my opinion ) an easy to use and affordable solution for you to play your NEO-GEO-CD ( AES ? ) onyour HDMI-TV.P.S: I also use a Saturn-cable from the same seller / manufactorer ( not bought via Amazon ). Same quality, also very recommended.

Great solution for those who don't want to mess with hardware modifications
I own two neo geo aes consoles. One of them has a Neobitz -S S-video board installed and the other is stock. I use this HDMI adapter on the stock AES. Both the Neobitz-S and the HDMI look very similar to me. The way you can test this out is by loading up samurai showdown and looking at the Hanzo character's arms. They will appear with a rainbow effect if you don't modify the stock composite output, but if you have this HDMI cable or a Neobitz-S, they will appear normal with the mesh pattern. This also fixes a rainbow effect seen in King of Fights 98 for the super bar on the lower corners of the screen. Overall, if you want a cheap solution that doesn't involve any modifications to the system, I think this works great. I'm using it on an AES 3-4 that has no other modifications, and it looks and sounds great.

This is a must for anyone with a Neo Geo!
My Neo Geo AES system had been in storage for years before I bought this cable. This cable allows you to play the Neo Geo at a much better quality than playing it with A/V composite cables. Somehow this wonderful cable connects to your old system without needing modifications just like the original A/V cable that came with the system, except this cable pulls the RGB signal from the system and converts it to an HDMI signal allowing you to play your old system on newer TV's! Because the cable is pulling the native RGB signal from the Neo Geo, you are getting much sharper and cleaner graphics and color than you would from the A/V composite cable. Thank you Level Hike for making this wonderful cable and keeping retro gaming alive and well!

SNK All Day!!!!
I have purchased a bunch of different adapters for my various older consoles. I finally got the unicorn of all systems that is the Neo Geo AES, and this adapter works flawlessly! No issues whatsoever, audio sounds great, video looks perfect. Better than the arcardes of old. If only I had a CRT though...

A great way to connect your NEO GEO to your TV
The LevelHike AES HDMI adapter does exactly what it's supposed to at a great price. It hooked perfectly into the back of my NEO GEO, and was powered by the USB port on my TV with the included cable. The adapter also came with an HDMI cable in case you need one, and the adapter has an HDMI port so you can plug your own cable in instead if you want. The picture quality is far better on my TV than the AES's original component cable, and the adapter has a switch so you can select between the original 4:3 aspect ratio or 16:9 widescreen, which stretches the screen, but not enough to be distorted or distracting.I also own LevelHike's Sega Saturn HDMI adapter, and I have been incredibly impressed by it as well. They make really good products, and their customer service after the sale has been phenomenal.

Not happy.
I thought this would be a step above the average Pound Cable due to the good reviews here, but I've had a bad experience. With USB power to the cable I got ghosting (see attached image) and without USB power the ghosting went away, but was replaced by dark lines scrolling vertically up the screen. The image was also very dim, and I think I see evidence of deinterlacing in that the image will go from soft to sharp half a second after something appears or stops moving.Analogue connections from the console display none of these problems, so I have to surmise that they're issues with this cable. The stars awarded are simply for it actually sending a lag free image through HDMI, so if it's just an imperfect stopgap you're looking for, it'll work.

Impressive
I own a framemeister and was contemplating grabbing a scart cable for my neo geo cd but just to kill curiosity bought this cable. Very impressed with the audio and video quality. I'm sure the framemeister with an rgb cable would be better but this hdmi cable is definitely worth the money.

Good quality, almost as good as retrotink connected to rgb component cables
I have 2 Neo geo consoles - I was using a retrotink 2x connected to some component cables. This works well, but I wanted a solution for the other console that wouldn’t be as expensive. I decided to give this a shot and I was pleasantly surprised. For the most part, this achieves similar results and I don’t notice any additional lag. I’ll do a side by side comparison and update the review if I notice anything more significant.

A bit disappointed
The video connector seems very tight and cannot be push all the way into my AES and my HDTV can't seems to get a right picture frame until a few tries. Even when i try to unplug it, I have to use a bit of a force and i don't think I will take the risk again as it might spoilt my video port. The graphics looks better than on composite but notice there are vertical lines.
