Reefer Madness

As one of the catchiest, and my favorite, movie musicals I simply had to invest in this 2CD set. The music, like the movie is absolutely hilarious yet wonderful. I can listen to this musical for days. It flows very well. The second CD is the original stage musical album but there are also bonus tracks which are nice, especially the karaoke back tracks. The packaging is neat, makes a great gift for anyone.

I really enjoyed this soundtrack. It has both the stage play and TV version. So its nice to hear the differences. I love almost every song on this soundtrack. EXCEPT, The brownie song. It just seems tacked on and does nothing to move the story forward.I do have to agree not having MP3's is a pretty rotten move by amazon or whoever. Still if you're into funny musicals then this is the soundtrack for you.

One disc has hte movie soundtrak and the other the stage play. The play version uses the smaller orchestra and obviously different arrangements. The movie version uses the full orchestra. It's obvious why the movie became a classic an the stage play didn't. The only thing was that the mixing on the movie version seems different thatn what is on the DVD. Some of the accompaniment seems to be a bit too far in the background. Stil a good listen.

Just scored this CD off my wish list and very happy with it, both the movie soundtrack and LA Live cast of Reefer Madness included with a great booklet and plenty of extras on both CD's. If you loved the movie you'll love having these CD's as a companion to it. Great music with a great take on the topic that has been with us for 80 years in the US, Reefer Madness (oh so Mad) still rages today!

I saw the TV special on Showtime a long time ago and remembered the music. This soundtrack is just incredible, one of my all-time favorites. It comes with a 2nd CD for karaoke, which I never listen too (not a fan of karaoke). The recording quality, the cast, the music and everything is just great, highly recommended.

Hilarious!! OMFG what a funny show! "It burrows like a weevil under tender christian skin!" Hahahahahahahaha!! The only problem is now I'm going through my stash too fast.

This musical is a masterpiece! Every stroke of satire is genius!! Ana Gasteyer blows me away with "The Stuff," and "Listen to Jesus Jimmy" will have you lol'ing like crazy!

My hsband and I have been looking for the soundtrack to Reefer Madness since he first rented it for me thee years ago. The quality is good and the price even better. The only problem that we have with it is that the movie soundtrack is filled with sound effects. It is odd because some of the sounds can be heard in our mp3 players and when the disk is played in the DVD player, but not in the cars. It reminds me of JR. High when I would route the TV sound through the stero and record it on my tapedeck.
