So helpful! A great cookbook.
I have been wanting to try whole 30 for a while now, but I was warned that it was difficult and time-consuming to make meals that were compliant with the dairy-free and grain-free restraints. So I was so happy to find this cookbook, which made it so much easier for me!It provides tons of information about how to succeed with the challenge, about meal prep and the perks of meal prep, and more. I have become a total meal prep believer, and I am so glad that I had this cookbook by my side when I was doing whole 30 (and even now, trying to stick with it past the 30 days). I would totally recommend this book to anyone looking to get on the whole foods bandwagon!

“So helpful! An excellent cookbook.”
My nutritionist recommended I try the Whole30 diet, but I was worried the ingredient restrictions would lead to extra time in the kitchen. I thought meal prepping might be the way to go, so I decided to give this cookbook a try — hopeful it could help me get started.Thankfully, this cookbook is perfect no matter your skill level. It walks you through the whole process of meal-prepping step by step — with easy-to-follow recipes and instructions. I’m actually spending less time in the kitchen than I used to, and everything I cook is healthier and more delicious than before. Can’t recommend it enough!

Easy recipesGreat info about healthy eating. If one can find non gmo wheat, it's much healthier. Dwarf wheat that has been engineered is not as healthy as medium to tall wheat that they used to grow a hundred years ago

Not a 30-day meal plan
Beginning of books has some dos/don'ts. I tried one recipe so far, and it was good, easy to make. However, I want to make the "My Signature Lemon Chicken Soup". I think some ingredients are missing in the book .... kale, chicken and lemon juice?? Directions mention them, but no amounts listed under the ingredients. I hope that this doesn't happen on too many other recipes. Now I'll have to Google search and take a guess. That's why I gave it a 3-star rating. Hopefully someone sees this and reaches back out to me with info.

Missing important information in recipes
Many of the recipes are good, but (and this is a big one) some of them are missing key ingredients. The lemon chicken soup does not list lemon or chicken in the ingredients, so you are left guessing how much. And surprise! There's kale. Not mentioned at all in the ingredients. These are some pretty large oversights. I would not recommend buying this.

Where to get started!
Before buying this cookbook, I didn’t really know what it meant to eat and cook whole foods, but this cookbook made it simple and easy! It starts with a thorough explanation of what whole foods are and even gives advice on how to shop for them and plan meals for the entire week. There are also a lot of low prep recipes (even for sauces too!) and recipes designed for the instant pot. I’d definitely recommend this book to a friend!
