Solid sound, build quality and value.
Update 19/01/21: as mentioned by others, they are tip dependent so don’t judge too quickly. Changing mine opened up the mids a bit more. Good stuff.I just got started in ChiFi iems. My first pair were cca c12s, quickly followed by Starfields and Simgot EN700 Pros. Each good in its own way. I have been blown away by the SQ and the various BA and DD designs on these inexpensive buds. I figured if that was the case st $50-100, a larger investment might be well worth it. 8 Knowles BAs at this price was enticing. Glad I made the decision. Changed the silicon tips for foam. Good sub bass, particularly for a BA, slightly recessed mids which keep them under control. Highs have crazy detail and will make you realize how faithfully they reproduce what was recorded. They compare favorably with my Shure 846s, which cost more than twice these. The mids are clearer as well. Bought a second pair for my son. Heartily recommend.

Tips very important - overall good but not great
Agree with above poster that they can be sibilant and sometimes just plain piercing...with the stock silicone tips. Try the foams and they’ll soften up top and reinforce the lows and mids. At least they did for me and my ear canal shape.Lastly, pretty efficient but sibilance worse playing directly from my iPhone 6s than with dragonfly red. Turning them up past 40% with the dragonfly was painfully loud.

It is a three and half star earbud at this price - changed to 4 stars
Oct 1, 2019 UpdateI have updated my review to a four star. The sound improved over time. Sibilance issue improved. I tried using using a copper cable. The sound got smoother but the sense of space and instrument separation got reduced. I decided to change back to its original cable.-----------------To be fair, it is a nice earbud. It has good and deep bass that is not overwhelming. OK highs. Voice sounds good. It produces a very nice sound stage (what I like the most about it besides the bass). Unfortunately, at certain highs there is sibilance. It is not always there, but only at certain frequencies. I like it but I would have possibly given it a pass due to this if I could have tested it in a store. It is very well rated on the internet - if you watch or read all those reviews carefully, most of them suggested some kind of tweaking. For example using a copper wire instead of the one that comes with the set. Some even suggested to modify the filter.... a risky proposition unless you know what you are doing, but why?If you are going to spend US$300 on a earbud, you want it to work out of the box. The most anyone should be expected to do to improve on the product, would possibly be buying a quality par of tips that fit one's ear better.I like the earbud for the most part - but the sibilance at certain frequencies bother me enough to say I would not have bought it.

Slightly fussy but outstanding sound
These are fantastic but are extremely tip dependent (the most tip dependent IEMs I have personally ever encountered) and also (to a lesser extent) source dependent. I suspect that many people who don’t like these might change their mind if they tried them with a number of different tips. I whole heartedly agree with the prior reviewer that changing from silicone to foam tips (both included) really improves the low end and tames the high end. I don’t buy what others are saying about the cables, except to say that the cable can change the impedance and therefore may impact the match with the source. Foam tips, stock cable, and a neutral source with modest eq bass bump or a warm source makes these sound outstanding, competing easily with IEMs 3-4x the cost (seriously). I also agree with other reviewers that they sound a little shrill when played directly off an iPhone, but eq helps there too. For some unknown reason, these sound fantastic out of the headphone jack of my MacBook Pro, which really surprised me (I have a swank portable amp but dont end up using it with these headphones paired with the MacBook Pro). Hope this helps and enjoy!

Best $300 - 8 BA IEMs you will find IMO
Wow, i love these IEMs. They are perfect for me. One of the best things about them is you can tailor the sound to your liking, they respond to all changes. I changed the SPC cable to a pure copper, it smoothed out the treble and added a bit of punch to the low end. That it he only change I made and I am super happy. Others are into changing the dampers, cables, tips, etc...The main sound you get tho is a very clear, detailed, amazing set of IEMs. I own the iSine 10's from Audeze and I like these T800's better. The only thing the iSine's are better at is Soundstage and only because they are open back plannar.I didn't purchase from this site but wanted to give my review as these IEM's are fantastic for $300. 8 Knowles BA's in each side.
