Evergreen HB4029 Compatible With 96-00 1.6L Honda Civic Del Sol SOHC D16Y5 D16Y7 D16Y8 Head Bolt Set

They fit but I didn't get very much use out of them even though I used them twice. Found a very slightly bent valve after changing head gasket then reused them so I could get the car out of the woods then a couple months later the back brake line popped from 20 years of corrosion and had to downshift hard to keep from wrecking and that caused a harsh engine knock. Not sure if they are stretched too much after 3 months to reuse but I'd buy these again for a daily driver, they held the cylinder head down under a really harsh condition, I'd buy them again if I need too for that daily driver. Held up to the full 8500 Rpm around my friends dirt track and a downshift straight to second gear while going 60 mph. Someone swerved head on in front of me. Didn't want to die. I'm considering buying these again after running through the brakes and suspension and rebuild the block like I should of done from the beginning

Perfect fit for my 2000 Civic LX.After cleaning the gasket mating surfaces of the block and head, I used compressed air to blow out any debris, oil, coolant. I made a thread chaser out of one of the old head bolts by using my angle grinder with a cut-off disc to cut two grooves spaced 180 degrees apart down the length of the threads.After chasing the threaded holes I liberally sprayed carburetor cleaner into the bolt holes and blew them out with more compressed air till clean and dry. Lubed the the new bolt threads and washers with engine oil. Torqued them as specified in the Honda manual. Torqued down like butter!

Great product and a great price. Did exactly what I needed them to... Held my head together LOL. Would recommend to anyone doing any head work.

Used these when replacing the head gasket on my D16Y7 in my Civic. Car now has a few hundred miles on it since the gasket was replaced and everything seems to be ok.
