Leak/fail: MUST read before you destroy your Kitchen!!!
Do Not Buy this if you have any amount of harder water! This is the SECOND one of these Pos faucets that failed in three years. Google "moen kitchen faucet cartridge failure" and you will see it's a common problem. The company does very quickly respond and ship you out next day a new one. So I will give them that, but here is the issue. Moen faucets have a universal cartridge body that's meant to allow a plumber with the right tools to swap in a new valve control system right into the inks unit. Why? So you can potentially avoid having to buy a whole new facet when/if these fail. Here's the issue: the cartridge had 2 o-ring seals on it that go into the housing. So if you have well water, hard city water, debris from say a water line repair from the city, etc doesn't mater occurs the debris / calcium can and WILL damage the seals on the facet cartridge and then it will start to leak at the point of the faucet handle. Read on the internet it happens ALOT! No big deal right? $30-40 cartridge and replaced done. But wait... let's say your away for a day or two. Or in my case over night... and the water then dripped all over the counter and then down the cabinets to where it just damaged the wood on high end expensive custom wood cabinets and flooring! So this $30-40 "easy to swap when we know it fails" cartridge goes bad it can potentially cost you $5000 in damage or more! In my case it was drizzling into the basement so my kitchen and my finished basement were damaged! Yes it's pretty, very it operates well, yes yes yes! But this is the SEcond one that failed in three years! Same point same issue and of course it's not their problem to cover the damage. So I warn anyone with an expensive custom kitchen to AVOID any of these moen facets with this cartridge system unless you 100% know you have pristine water conditions. In our case we have mild hard water, not enough to put a softener on. But that is my only guess as to why this failed twice in two years! Who would think that when you spend money on a product like this with their "buy it for life" advertising they have a known failure point that hundreds of people have the same issue with over and over! I'm so angry about the amount of damage this second one failing caused. I hope my story saves at least one other person from what I'm going thru. Piece of crap cartridge design.

Hoses Fail - Can FLOOD Your Kitchen
Cheaply made hoses will fail, flooding your kitchen. Ours did exactly 2 years after install causing a small flood under the sink. Luckily I was home. Also if you're lucky, only the pull down retractable hose will fail (Moen 150259, Replacement Hose Kit) and not the cold or hot water hoses. This leak will spray water under your sink and flood your cabinets. Moen happily sends out warranty replacement parts, but offers no solutions for a more durable part. Since the connector is proprietary, there are no options at this point other than getting another brand faucet or proactively replacing the hoses every 18 months. Please do your research before buying this faucet. Only now, 2 years later, am I seeing similar reviews. This issue is plentiful and easy to search for. This part is used in all Moen High-Arc Pull Down Faucets.

Beautiful but Defective Product - Bad Customer Service
I will start by saying, I think I would really love this faucet. It's beautiful and looks like it would be a great addition to our new home. HOWEVER - I purchased this faucet and the AC Adapter that was suggested with it and when our plumbers tried to install it, they couldn't get it to work. Since installing plumbing fixtures is one of the last things to go in before a new construction project is complete and you can move in, we ended up moving into our home with no working kitchen faucet on 12/22/2017. We have been talking to Moen even before the move in date and they first said that the problem could be batteries - so we purchased all new batteries....nope. Then they said that the Adapter THEY recommended was a different generation from the faucet so they had to mail a new one. That came relatively quickly and we tried it.....nope. So they sent another part that it could be. That didn't arrive until yesterday - 1/10/17 and that didn't fix this either. Let me remind you that we have been moved in since December 22nd and have had no Kitchen Faucet. We have had to use our laundry room utility sink which is on the complete opposite side of the house to wash dishes that can't go into the dishwasher and wipe down counters. But - back to the story - we call Moen again today to inform them that the latest part didn't work. They then said we need to make sure the filters are clear. 1) This is a new product - why would filters be clogged and 2)why wasn't that brought up the VERY. FIRST. TIME. we called? When my husband asked that they said they were sorry but had to troubleshoot all possibilities. So now he has to run home over lunch - which we live out of town - to check filters so we can keep this process moving. We're obviously going to need to purchase a new faucet, and shame on us for believing that Moen would make this right so we waited like naïve idiots for 3 weeks (and counting) without water in OUR KITCHEN to finally give it up and go purchase another faucet. We totally understand that sometimes things just don't work and you have go through the steps. But should those steps take 3+ weeks to rectify with no end in sight? Today we are nowhere closer to having a working kitchen faucet than we were 4 weeks ago. When does this become really terrible customer service on Moen's part? All I can say is we better be getting a full refund for this obviously defective product and for the hours, days, weeks, we have wasted trying to fix it when as a consumer you should expect to purchase a NEW product and have it work. Not be put through the ringer. Who would be okay buying a kitchen faucet and waiting 3+ weeks for their new product to work? A kitchen faucet is an item that is pretty important and something used quite frequently in a home. Especially one like ours that has 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog and cat. And since it's new construction, no yard - so lots of MUD! And it wasn't installed by us - but a licensed, professional plumber. Sheesh - if they can't get it to work, why are we checking filters and changing batteries and waiting a month for a resolution?

Looks nice but has some minuses
It's a beautiful faucet but I have two issues with it. First, the pull down head is plastic, not metal like the rest of the fixture. While it matches the body in appearance, it cheapens the feel of the product. It makes me wonder how long it will last. Second, the power boost button only works one way. Once power boost is activated, the only way to go back to regular stream is to turn the water completely off and back on again. At first I thought my faucet was defective but I called the manufacturer and they confirmed that it's actually a feature and not a defect. 🤔

Looks and works great, but required about a month to install
My story with this faucet.Initial order arrived fast and was well packed. I invited licensed plumber who installed faucet in less than hour. It appeared great. But it did not work! :((No light in sensor. No response to hand movement. Manual handle also did not work. In other words I got beautiful and expensive faucet that doesn't let the water to pass thru it!Called Moen support. Waiting time just to place complaint - 3 hours! Fortunately you can leave your phone number to them and they call you back.Explained problem. Heard "sorry" and promise to send me new box. Arrival time in a month.Called Amazon. Very friendly lady told me that replacement faucet will be delivered in 2-3 days. Next day Amazon web site showed delivery time in about month .Can you survive month without water in your kitchen?I visited Lowe's store and purchased good faucet for $80. Looks very similar to $500 Moen faucet, bit without sensor. Called plumber to remove Moen faucet and to install "cheap" faucet.Celebrate holidays and New Year with this temporary faucet. Waited few weeks more.Replacement arrived from Amazon.Called plumber again to remove $80 faucet and to install Moen faucet. Again. This time Moen faucet was working :)))Good news.Faucet is great. Works perfectly. Looks great. Very responsive and convenient. Has timer for self-shut off after about 1 minute of work. Water pressure is OK. Nice shower switch. Head jumps to faucet perfectly. The only problem I noted - it does not respond to the hand movement if I wear black glove. Blue, yellow, transparent gloves are OK. But no response to black gloves.Overall 3*. If it worked from beginning it be absolutely 5*. Unfortunately problem with control box and delayed delivery lowered stars to 3.

U by Moen Voice Control Garbage
Having owned a Moen I/O Digital smart shower for 10+ years and enjoying a perfect shower every day I was expecting similar quality with the U by Moen kitchen faucet. What a disappointment. This faucet is absolute garbage.Moen focused on useless features and abandoned the basics. This is cheap novelty garbage. The faucet has a touchless sensor, but the water comes on at a random pressure. It does not respect the settings in the application. It does not use the low pressure that you set and instead blasts you with water. The faucet does not come with an AC adaptor. It runs on 6 D cell batteries and with the useless novelty of WiFi voice control it consumes the batteries fast. Very fast. You will break the bank trying to keep this garbage powered. The WiFi is poorly implemented. It is flaky and looses connection often. We have an enterprise grade WiFi network covering acres and this faucet can't stay connected.Go for a basic, normal faucet and spare yourself the headaches. At most look for a simple touchless sensor version. Do not waste your time and money on the useless WiFi voice control garbage!

Quality build; faucet not available (locally) elsewhere
Because this faucet wasn't available locally elsewhere, I had to rely on images at the Amazon.ca site to choose it. I chose correctly! The install was simple but, as a failsafe, I had a plumber verify the work. His comment: Moen *always* gets it right and the quality of the mechanism is such that I should not have any issue ever. That confirmed that I chose well. The faucet looks substantial, feels substantial, and works flawlessly.

Im torn on this
Beautiful and very well made. So why not 5 stars you ask. The under the sink mount is lousy. Its a simple plastic ring that winds to the top and into the metal plate. That cheap plastic ring comes loose fast in my experience. And I tightened it good. Should be a beefier set up in my opinion.

Sturdiness and quality can make a lasting product.
Like the bronze finish that matches our kitchen countertop. Easy to operate. A remarquable improvement, compared to the unit that we had to dispose of after 5 or 6 years. This one costs more, and we are hoping, quality wise, that it will last much longer.
