I had a kitchen knife, a fairly expensive one, which I’ve had for 3 years and had some ugly “chips in blade “,Having never used a whetstone, I was very very impressed with the results, the knife now is probably sharper than when I bought it.Only one thing to mention, practice on an old knife, because if you do not get the angle correct, you do tend to scrape the knife itself.Overall, does the job perfectly

I was looking for 2000 but decided to try 1000. It works fine and 4000 does smooth the surface but not like a polished reflection. The problem I have is that one of the corners is broken while receiving it. The weird thing is that the broken side is on the bottom and protected by the rubber base. I assume it’s already broken before packaging. I didn’t return it because I don’t want to wait another couple days for a new one. I think it’s a good quality in terms of sharpening if you don’t mind a little defective. Do wish the price could reflect on this matter.

Fed up with dull blades then this may be your answer. Not as easy as the pull through sharpeners but the stone does a much better job and is gentler on the blade

The media could not be loaded. If I was working professionally & sharpening lots of knives I'd want something a bit more substantial to get the job done quicker. This though is perfect for home use with a simple non-serrated set of knives. This month as I've replaced my knives I've realised my old sharpening stick just isn't going to cut it! I've been watching YouTube videos on these & they're easy enough to use. I really like the silicone base meaning you can just put it straight onto the unit & it grips. I've uploaded a video to show.
