Works great and holds up well
Second follow up review. After contacting Amazon about the non-charging collar they immediately sent me a new collar with a micro USB charging cable that has a longer than average metal protrusion. This fixed the charging problem so we are back up to five stars. Normal micro USB cables wonβt work because the charging port recess is set too deep into the collar for a normal cable to fully reach. Probably allows the little rubber protective flap to better seal the charging area against moisture and debrisFirst follow up review, the second collar never charged back up and I was unable to return it for a replacement or a refund. Very unhappy with this second purchase.ββββββββββββOriginal review: Works as advertised, has lots of settings in case you donβt want to zap your dog. You can just set it to vibrate instead and thatβs pretty effective. It has various sensitivity settings too so you can prevent ambient noise from setting it off if you have a noisy household. You can also set it to vibrate then shock, which is a great feature for training since most dogs will quiet down following a vibration if they think a shock will come if they keep barking (even though you may have the feature turned off). My dog usually just goes and lays on her bed and pouts when I put it on her, which I suppose is effective enough in its own way. I can take it off after a few minutes without her barking again because she gets the message.

This is the one you want, great price and great product!!!!
Look at those dogs, those are good dogs. We recently moved to a new home and our dogs would not stop barking at the neighbors when they go out on their back patio. We had moved from an area where the people across the street would let their dogs bark all day and we were not going to be those people. We found these and decided for the price to go ahead and order two, one for each dog. We did test it on me (my wife was willing to let me be the test dummy) and decided that the level three shock for the first day of training was a little much. It was like licking a 9v battery but on your arm, would stop a big dog but ours are about 30-40 pounds so again a bit much. We set them to beep/vib/shock(level 1). Took two times to figure it out on the first day. After the first couple of days we set it to only beep and vibrate. They have completely stopped barking at the neighbors. The charge lasts a long time and it will tell you the level so you can give it a good charge before they are dead. I highly recommend this product!!!!

It works well, especially for the price, but the instructions are a bit confusing
The collar has been on my fifteen-pound dog for about five days now. He is a great dog but not a good citizen, as he was barking at the neighbors at 2 am. The collar is well made and durable, and so far has survived rain and a trip to the dog park. It charges fast and lasts a long time. However, the instructions aren't that clear and the product isn't entirely intuitive. The power button shows the charge on the collar from 0-7 seven being fully charged so you can gauge when to recharge. The vibration button has 7 levels, with seven being the most intense. The shock has 7 levels, but I haven't set it higher than 2. The sensitivity has 7 levels as well and controls the level of noise needed for the collar to come on. When it was a 7, the collar was triggered by some normal activities and play, so we lowered it. The biggest thing to know is that if it is triggered many times in a minute, it goes into standby so the dog isn't being continually shocked. After it goes on standby, you have to press any button on the collar to reset it or it will not go off normally.Overall, this is pretty hard to beat. It's inexpensive, it's not too heavy for my little dog, and it doesn't pick up other dog's barks. I like that the shock function can be turned off entirely and the sound and vibrations used as deterrents. Within five or so days of wearing the collar most, my dog's barking is down 90%. He will run outside and bark once when something catches his eye, then when he hears the beep and feels the vibrations he runs inside looking like he's seen a ghost and looks like he's seen a ghost. The only issue I have is that it can be triggered by normal play, and finding the proper settings involves a bit of trial and error. Make sure to test it yourself by blowing into the sensor to get a feel for how strong each level is before you put it on your dog.UPDATE: Bought a second collar a week after the first for our other dog, and now they're at least 75% quieter. Without even using the shock function. It's great for us and for our neighbors they like to bark at at 1 am.

Great product. Does the job!
I purchased this product to stop my almost blind Beagle from barking at the "air", which means, he barks all the time. This collar was easy to set up, easy to charge and the battery seems to last quite a long time. First use has cured my barker. He barked one time and got a little zap, let out a little yelp and has not barked since. He will bark constantly when it is not on, but all I have to do know is turn it on (it lest out a beep when you turn it on) and he knows. The only down side to the collar is the actual unit can move on the collar so when the dog shakes his head or scratches, it moves off the front/center of the neck. That doesn't affect his barking as him just knowing it is on has stopped him from barking, but this may be a problem for other dogs. Since that is the only downfall I have noticed, I am still giving this product 5 stars as it does work. My dog is a barker no more.
