I use this product to refinish old safes before painting to help hide small flaws and it works great

The texture does not really match my drywall that well. You have to try to smooth it out manually with a flat tool so it can some what resemble the dry wall texture. I wish someone would design something better that you can just roll on the wall.

Absolutely terrible product, extremely difficult to use and texture comes out different at first then it does in the middle of the can and different at the end of the can than the beginning or middle of the can. Beyond frustrating is to put it lightly.

GREAT PRODUCT

I used it for a ceiling repair. It matched the existing texture perfect and most people would never know it was repaired. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked so well. The only thing I didn't like is i used the whole can and just had enough! It was the perfect amount for this repair but cut it close. Its pricey for a repair if you have to spray a lot of texture to match and to feather out the texture to blend it to the rest of the wall. But it's a great product and a lot easier to use than mixing it yourself and using a hopper. And the oil based is the way to go on this product.

Totally worthless. Clogged almost immediately. Nozzle broke and it wouldn't adjust the spray. All I got were clumpy glops that never dried.

I went through about 1/2 a can to get the texture settings to match the existing texture to my liking, then it worked great. I didn't pause for more than a couple seconds between sprays.On the second can I was attempting to do multiple touch-ups in different rooms, which didn't turn out so well.If you're tring to do multiple small areas (like poorly patched nail holes throught a room) and clear the nozzle after each use you'll run out of gas pressure before you've used up the texture material. If you don't clear the nozzle after each use the nozzle will start to clog, which results in loss of pressure and texture dripping down the wall rather than splattering onto it. The reason a real texture gun doesn't have this problem is because you'd use a water based material, not solvent based such as this product.Overall, it's certainly more convenient, less mess and expense than purchasing a texture gun with a suitable compressor and certainly less expensive than hiring a professional to do the same (if you can even find a good one that will do a small job).There's also the strong solvent odor that lingers until it dries thoroughly - ethylene and xylene - be sure to ventilate well until it's dry.
