These shoes are amazing. They are the first and only shoes I've ever been able to wear without socks – I hate that slimy sweaty foot feeling that these shoes have just enough thin liner and plenty of air so your feet stay cool even without socks. Feeling air come through the top and bottom of your shoes is freaking amazing. They're great when you're doing any activity at speed like on a boat or bike. I weather every day as if the tiger for carrying dozens of pounds of gear and hot sun through mud and swamps – the water goes right through to my feet, cools me down, and then dries out. The best part has been that they are incredibly durable despite being made of lightweight materials and are machine washable – after a week or two I throw them in the wash and they come out smelling brand-new. They have great cushioning and support - I can wear all day doing heavy labor. And the soft soles are fine on boat seat vinyl. Tip: I had to exchange and order a half size down and even then they're roomy.
