Q: Why did Levi's remove 2 belt loops on the 541 jeans?

Did you go down a size? I know they don’t go from 5 to 7 loops until you get up to a 38w. I’ve actually sewn 2 loops from an old pair I was throwing out onto a pair of my 36w… which, with just 5 loops, is the size with longest distance between loops

Q: are these jeans true in color. just as pictured. fade and color?

unfortunately, it varies. Levi's makes some very good products but QC is terrible. I have had 32 inch pants legs off by as much as 3/4" either way. Also, there will be some shrinkage in all cotton versus the blend versions, which are far less likely to shrink. Finally, it varies by color; black all cotton are more prone to shrink than blue or tan. My recommendation is to buy the 34" leg, wash, wear and then take to tailor for better fitting.
