A great product from a USA made seller
I bought these filters for our raw goats milk. I don't reuse them, however, I imagine they could be washed and boiled, if you desire.I use a triple filter system on our milk strainer. The bottom level is the course metal filter that comes with the milk funnel. The middle level are these top-quality filters, and the 1st penetration level is a piece of cotton/muslin cloth. This combination has completely blocked contaminants. There is a very interesting study on pasteurized milk vs. raw milk consumption that can be found by googling, THE 2014 JOHNS HOPKINS STUDY. "Ted Beals, MD, has kept a list of reported illnesses from raw milk since 1999. This list indicates a maximum of 50 reported illnesses per year from raw milk. This is 2% of the rate of illnesses from pasteurized milk. If over this period two percent of the population has consumed raw milk, then the rate of illness from raw and pasteurized milk is about equal."I'm a raw goat milk drinker. I'm going for the high probiotics and gut health, which is great. Pasteurization kills not only bad bacteria, but all the good ones. My husband and I did not get Covid during the pandemic, I contribute this to high probiotics and gut health, plus not taking unnecessary risks.Remember, cleanliness is next to godliness. It you use proper standards when milking, brushing down your animals, washing their mammary bag and tits with soap and water, and using iodine on their tits, will greatly reduce any airborne bacteria, plus your goats will love you for it. You can also make a dust shield for over your milk bucket and take time for some daily hoof care cleaning too, to reduce any illnesses.A healthy, well-loved animal, that is cared for and watched over, has a "higher vibration," resulting in the reduction of health risks from contaminated milk, AND give you a higher quality product. From 4 gallons of raw goat milk, we get 2 lbs. of beautiful butter, and 3 gallons of amazing 2% milk.Great product; buy them for fine filtration.

No backsplash from the filter in the strainer.
Tried these for the first time over the competitor and had to order more. These are soft and squishy and to be honest I think you could actually sterilize them in the washer and dry them to reuse although not recommended. The best part is the competitors brand is stiff and thus if you are pouring milk into the filter it can hit the stiff filter edge and splash back at you. Doesn't happen with the filter saving clean up time of the counter (and me, and the floor).

Works for goat milk
This works great as a goat milk filter. We use a small stainless steel filter and these fit great.

Great disposable strainers for raw goat milk!
I'm only milking 2 small goats right now, and use quart mason jars for milk storage. At first, I'd pop one of these filters in a funnel and strain the milk right into the jar, but every little thing I can do to make morning chores faster is a good thing. I soon realized I could skip the funnel, as these filters easily cover the wide-mouth jars. I just pop one over the top, push the middle in a bit to form a shallow dip and pour the milk in. No funnel to wash, so it saves me a few precious moments! I'm good with that. I've almost used up my first 200, and am back for the next set.
