I am super happy this is a great Kayak!
This is the first kayak I purchased. I was a little worried because it was so cheap compared to other tandem kayaks. We had been shopping around for awhile. I could not be any happier with this purchase. It is awesome. So much room and it’s comfortable. Looks great. Very stable and easy to paddles. The only thing is it didn’t mention if it came with paddles and one review said he was pleasantly surprised that he received paddles so I did not buy any. My kayak did not come with paddles. I didn’t even mind because the deal was great. I definitely recommend this kayak.

Great for residential lake use
I have several other Kayaks, all sit-in type, and this is my first sit-on-top. Got it for self and grandkids on our small lakes behind the house. It's a very good size for an adult plus one or two (molded seat area between the regular seats). A little less stable than sit-in kayaks, but that's normal, and this is very stable and easy to handle on still water. A good solid recreational boat by a good boat maker. Got scratched during shipping but not worth worrying about for the reasonable price I paid.

Great for multiple kids, it's huge, though
These are really great value for the price. We have two-I take two kids and my husband takes two kids. It's a big upgrade from two tandem inflatables with the same people since the second kid can sit in the center molded seat. I'd probably never pay the price of other similar-style kayaks, but maybe that's because I just don't know what I'm missing. We were able to tow a youth kayak easily when one of the kids got too tired to paddle herself along. Towing definitely slows you down, but still totally doable.Things you should know:-middle kid probably isn't laying down in the center if they are tired because the seat molding makes it impossible to lay there. Probably not an issue for most, but when my son was younger he'd take a quick nap in our lap in the inflatables.-There are no bags in the hull. We thought about attaching a command hook or something to throw a bag in there, but honestly, we didn't really need anything stored inside anyway. We had one backpack and 3 64 oz water jugs on the back of one kayak and the backpack with 6 bento boxes on the other, and just put anything that couldn't get wet in ziplocks inside the backpack.-It's really, really big. our kayak racks are supposed to hold up to 4 kayaks. That'll never happen. The hull makes them just so thick it's not possible. We can easily transport two, but that's it. We strap two youth kayaks to a metal basket that attaches to the hitch.-paddle not included-one person is not getting this on top of a vehicle alone. My husband is 6'5" and still needs me to help lift it on and hold it til he gets the first strap in place-inspect the kayak right away. (TLDR-look for scupper damage and get a replacement right away if you see any) We bought two at a lower than normal price in October, before we even had a kayak rack to transport them. By the time we got the rack it was too cold to take the kids out, so the first time we actually put them in water was Memorial Day. After about five minutes we realized one was taking on water, and fast. Lucked out that we discovered it near a semi-shore and dumped the water out of the hull and just assumed we had forgotten to plug up the drain hole on the back of the kayak. But then realized that wasn't the issue once we got back on the water. Again, thankfully I was close enough to where we started that I managed to get back to the pier without sinking, but it was a close call. Turns out there was scupper damage in the back scupper and that dry storage was just filling with water. Pelican declared it eligible for a warranty coverage, but said Amazon handles the replacements-but it was out of stock. It took some long phone calls, but we finally managed to get a refund and then when it came back in stock they refunded the difference in what the new cost was compared to the original payment. The new one and the second from the first purchase are both perfect. Upon looking at the damaged one some more, we think we just got a bad one as it's banged up in other areas, too.Would definitely purchase again if we could transport or store 3.

Great kayak !!
Love this kayak ! Great price , great sturdy quality. Couldn’t wait to use it so we went out last weekend in 45 degrees and rainy weather . Pretty sure there was still some ice floating in our lake . Nice size for 2 adults, plenty of room for stuff . Love storage underneath. Great price and great investment!

Mayden Voyage was almost my last
*"Cosmetic imperfections" on the kayak & packaging was listed as damaged.*No one stated that there are two huge slits (gouges) by the seams on each side- unseeable upon inspection. After 1hr of padding out from shore in the Kayak, the kayak started to sink. Had to jump off & swim w/kayak back to shore. Once at the shore, I lifted the compartment and saw all the water inside. Needs 2b plastic welded.Cosmetic imperfections is minor and can be fixed easily. The description should mention that there are two slits in the kayak and needs to be repaired prior to kayaking.

Excellent kayaks! Great buy!
We got lucky and purchased 2 these when they where in stock. These are our first kayaks. We are so happy with them. They are perfect for an adult and child. We have also rode one adult and two children. They are stable and not too heavy. They are long. We haul with a trailer. We could not be more pleased.

Sits low in the water and scupper damage.
For a three person kayak the price is really decent. Says it’s rated for 500lbs, however I am about 225lbs, and with two kids in the front that weigh about 100lbs together, the kayak sits very low in the water where water starts coming into the scupper holes and into the boat. We didn’t sink but it’s really unnerving when you’re out there. I also noticed that one of the front scupper holes was damaged allowing water into the hull when we returned from our first trip, I went back to look at some pictures that I took when it was first delivered and can see the damage was there upon delivery I just didn’t notice it till I started to look why there was so much water inside the hull. Not sure what can be done about it, I am going to contact Pelican and see how painful this process is going to be and what they are willing to do about it. For anyone buying this kayak as a three person, there are connections to put a kayak seat on that molded center seat to allow for a seat with a back for a third person to sit comfortably. If the scuppers weren’t damaged and it sat a little higher in the water this kayak would be 5 stars but as it is now it does make me nervous taking my kids out on it, constantly checking the scuppers and can’t paddle with a ton of confidence.

While I’m happy with my purchase overall; I am very disappointed with the quality of the seat.
I’m disappointed with the quality of the seat. Both seats are rippled and don’t sit flat to kayak. I was hoping that the water and heat would make them flatten out but they are still uncomfortable to sit on.

cracked scupper hole where the mold joins the 2 sections, taking on lots of water
There was an issue with the molding at one of the scupper holes it was cracked and on my first time out in it after 2.5 hours, i got to shore and had to pour about 15 liters out of the keel, I have contacted amazon and am returning it, hope to try another, just a shame it has put a damper on my long weekend plans
