Vintage Ceramic Butter Dish with Lid, Farmhouse Keeper Fits 2 Eastern or 1 Western Butter Sticks, Sturdy Handle and Cover with Large Base

Bigger than a regular butter dish. Absolutely love it. Very farmhouse.

Great off white color with very light "brushstroke" edge touches of dark red. Back side does not have any lettering so you can turn it around and display it on a counter without the lettering if desired. The barn style handle is sturdy and detailed on both sides. Can hold a block of butter as easily as one or two sticks which is great for everyday or big brunches. Easy to clean. Came well packaged. Very happy with this purchase.

My mother used to have 2 stick butter dish but she broke it. She couldn't find another in the stores so she has had a single stick dish for a while and ALWAYS complains. After explaining that almost anything is available on Amazon with very little effort, she seemed to black out from tech talk so I just looked one up and ordered it. The country style fits her household perfectly and she loved it. Great product, great price, mom is happy, everyone is happy.

Although this is a matter of personal preference, I really like the off white colour and the rather subtle design.What I don't really like is that it says "Farm Fresh" (which I knew before I bought it). The words conjures up images of produce in the grocery stores that largely originated on farms a zillion miles away. In so many cases the terminology is a blatant lie.Anyway, I digress. this is still a pretty good butter dish although I have no idea whether it holds two sticks. I've never tried to fit two in.

I love my butter dish however, a little over a month after purchase the oil from the butter discolored the ceramic. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement even though it was beyond the return window.

Prior to it's arrival, I had a nightmare that it arrived but was 1.5-ft long and Amazon wouldn't except a return, so I cried about how it wouldn't fit on my counter.... Well alas, it arrived and is regular sized so thank goodness for that! No tears here!In all seriousness, I wish the dimension was just 1/4 an inch more in depth because then I would be able to fit 3 sticks side by side in it vertically. (West Coast sticks. Google search "Tillamook Butter" if you need a reference). It does fit 2 sticks horizontally though, so that will suffice. It's a super cute butter dish, heavy duty and good quality, and arrived packaged really well is super thick styrofoam.I love it!

It is large enough for 2 sticks of butter, which was surprising, but has turned out to be perfect. If I had read the description more closely I would’ve known. I love the casual country style and it is well-constructed. Time will tell if the barn-shaped handle is a little small and slippery for the young grandkids. But so far, I haven’t dropped it.
