My apartment has drain covers which cannot be removed and management has rules against using chemical drain cleaners, which limits my options. I have tried a few things but this was the cheapest, the easiest and the most effective. It's nice to have clear drains again.The plastic strips slide down the drain very easily and then almost feel stuck, but that is only because they have grabbed onto whatever is down the drain. You have to wiggle and shimmy them back up. If you panic and yank straight back, I can see how you might break the strips. However, if you wiggle them back up, be prepared for the gross monstrosity of a hairball that comes up with it. Oh my goodness.These strips work like a charm for me and the price was fantastic.

Did the job perfectly

My husband was able to unclog one of our sinks and the tub and still reused it to remove anything from our other sink. It worked perfectly. NOTE: I don't recommend using one more than three times because the bristles do start to bend and it will eventually break; tt happened to my husband, so just be careful and this little trinket should do it's job.

I like the length of the metal snake. I don't like the packaging that coils the tools up in a circle because the plastic tools won't lie flat. Also, when you pull the plastic snake out of your drain, pieces of plastic break off and go down the drain. In photos attached, the middle tool is the one I used once. Compare the barbs to the new tools on either side of the center and you'll see how the barbs break off. I have older similar tools where the plastic is less brittle and the barbs more flexible. They've been used many times and the barbs are still intact.

As some of the other reviewers have noted, the plastic is hard and brittle. While using it, the handle broke off and the spiked plastic collector was down in the drain and I had no way to access it. I couldn't leave it there because it was designed to collected hair and other items that can clog drains. Fortunately I am handy and I ran to the store to buy some tools to remove the drain and get into the PVC piping and then I inserted some long claspers and I was able to eventually pull it out hours later. If I had called a plumber, I imagine it would have cost Hundreds of dollars for them to get into the PVC piping and get the thing out. I threw the rest of them away after this experience. I have used others I have bought at the local stores and never had this issue. I don't recommend using or buying these.

I have tried everything to keep my drains clear but with two daughters with long hair it seems to be a struggle but I was happy to see how well these tools worked to remove the clogs from my sink! It didn’t take long and my sink is draining fine now I am very pleased with these tools.

very fragile broke instantly would not purchase this product

This is a great value. My bathroom sink clogs constantly from hair etc. took me about 1 minute to clean it with one of the plastic pulls and it worked with the cap on the drain plug. Much cheaper than a plumber.
