Been great!
Some have said this does not hold air. I've had no problems. However, I think the reason some don't hold air is because you have to be REALLY meticulous when seating the cap. It has two seals on it, and if you don't get it pressed down just right, air will leak. A little extra effort and there shouldn't be a problem. Also, when inflating it, I couldn't get the flap to open up...almost like it was sealed shut. Just push around the edges of the flap with a rounded tip object and go in a circle, and eventually it will open. Oh, and don't even try to inflate this by mouth. I used an air compressor and it still took a while. I inflated it almost to capacity and then deflated it a little to allow some room for expansion and contraction. Has been fine so far.

Big, big pillow with a fussy plug
Arrived on 7 Oct 2016. Inflated it with a high capacity air compressor to a big as I dared. The plug is difficult to seat and I imagine that's why a lot of folks have had leak-down issues. The plug looks like it is in place but the slightest deformation around the perimeter of sealing surfaces will result in a leak. Water test it before you make it permanent.I am writing on 6 Nov 2016 and there has been no apparent loss of air. It does tend to increase in size as the air warms (it is still in the high 80's down here during the day in November. It also shrinks a bit as the air chills so don't be alarmed if you wake up on a sudden cool morning to see your pillow look smaller. All is well.Mine was made as well as any other pool float type thingy...all of the seams were well welded. Just beware of the plug. Altogether, it does a very good job of elevating 18' diameter cover above the surface of the water so no leaves have accumulated, yet.

It floats
Was a little skeptical when looking at reviews prior to purchase. Especially the comments on it not sealing. My initial effort to inflate and seal was a bit of a hassle. It was difficult to seal. A few days later we noticed that it was loosing air and it continued to do so for a few more days. When opening the air inlet I noticed a small "kink" on the inner ring. Inflated it and ensured that the seal closed correctly. It was easier to seal than the initial time. It has been a week and there is no loss of air. I gave it 4 stars because of the sealing problem. Durability is yet to be determined. I would have to say it certainly is a good value for the money

If I could I would of given it zero stars...JUNK!
Junk, cheap plastic material. Last year purchase this item it would not hold air after 2 days. They open the pool this year found a puncture in it. I'm not sure when this occurred but I'm pretty sure it would that happened when removing the pool cover. This year patched the hole and inflated it again. The same thing it would not hold air checked everywhere for leaks and couldn't find any, ended up using 2 cheap float ring toys from the dollar store. Taped them together with duct tape to give it the proper height. A cheaper solution and it's made out of the same quality material for under $5. Don't waste your time with this junk

It was worth a try.
Followed all of the instructions very carefully. The pillow lost about two thirds of its air, quite suddenly, about midway through the first month. We assumed the plug must have popped open, but the pillow lost no more air than that for the remainder of the off-season, so we were a little confused as to what might have happened. Unfortunately, the air loss was sufficient to let most of our cover sink, defeating the purpose of having the pillow at all. Upon opening, we inspected the pillow - the plug was intact and we could find no punctures or tears to explain why it had lost most of its air (we're truly stymied) or anything to explain why or how it lost most of its air but retained about a third. This might be a great solution for someone else, in which case it's an affordable one and certainly worth a try if, like us, your other options are expensive. It just wasn't a solution that worked for us... still glad we tried it, though.

Garbage
I had high hopes for a nice, fluffy pillow. Filled it after receiving it and it slowly lost air over a week. Chalked it up to maybe not seating the plug right. Closed the pool after inflating the pillow again and double-checking the plug - which seemed like it would. Nope. A week or so later, it's almost flat! So now I have to uncover the pool enough to get the pillow out, refill it and seal it with tape or silicone. Absolute garbage, which is a shame because it seems like decent vinyl and welding otherwise. #YouHadOneJob

Really large air pillow
Nice large pool pillow for my pool cover. Only issue i saw was the plug for the air hole was a little deformed due to the way it was folded in the package. Plastic Plug was on a folded seam was oval shapped when unfolded. I tried squeasing it to make it round but went back to it's folded state. I was able to air pillow up with my air compressor "which saved my lungs by the way" and it seem to hold air. Hope it holds air for a while. Only time will tell. Pillow worked great under pool cover. Rain should shed right off easily.

Flat by the next day
Worthless. Bought several months ago in anticipation of winterizing, but it doesn't hold air at all and I cannot return now. Filled it up and closed the air valve, was halfway flat within a few hours. The next day it essentially has 0 air pressure, will do nothing to hold the cover up over winter. No noticeable air escaping noise or bubbles in water, but I haven't submerged it to see where it is leaking from. Like dozens of other reviewers before me, this is essentially useless. Would not buy again, search for a different brand!
