Problem solver! For years I used the pull out garbage and recycling containers under the sink. Once in a while in the winter we would have mice seeking warmth and finding their way into this two story downtown building. I finally realized that having any open containers in the commercial section downstairs, or my residential section was an attraction the poor little guys couldn't resist.....sooooo we solved that by purchasing self-opening garbage cans. I can't believe we didn't do this years earlier, because it is so easy to use and much more sanitary.I'm going to get this for my little house in Sicily too and buy one as a gift for my son. This is the simplest and cleanest way to contain household kitchen trash.

The media could not be loaded. Modern looking trash can. Sanitary no touch feature. Top flips open quietly and stays open for a good five seconds. If for any reason you want to flip the top open on your own you can turn off the touchless automatic open feature. Needs four C batteries. AC adaptor not included in purchase. But, with the battery option you don't need to place the can near an outlet. Might end up using as a diaper pail. Overall nice looking and works.

This garbage pail works great I love that it's stainless steel when you put the batteries in the sensor is kind of sensitive every time you walk past it it opens but if you're doing a lot of activity in the kitchen or wherever the area of the pale is you simply can shut off the switch on the back that is a great feature to have when I'm cleaning the kitchen I shut it off when I go back to normal duties I turn it on I love not having to touch the garbage pail I highly recommend this product

Easy to use and clean

I have a 2 year old grandson who loved to play with the flip release on my old trash can. I purchased this one because you can actually lock it. Very convenient that you don't have to touch anything and it's much more sanitary. It has a beautiful stainless body. Takes 4 C batteries and I will have to see how long they last before having to change them. The can was delivered very timely and I am very happy with my purchase.

Best home addition. I can open it with my butt when my hands are full. It always has its lid closed. Spectacular. How did I live without an automatic bin opener? ( Dark Ages ) My old man yaps about every thing I purchase being a "waste of precious cash", yet he hasn't muttered a peep about my shiny new bin. Which means he loves it too. It is now my go to gift for every occasion.

Not the best quality imo. It serves its purpose but compared to others I’ve owned it’s lacking especially in two areas.1) it’s very noisy. The lid slams down quite hard when closing. Not that quiet opening either.2) the retainer ring doesn’t fit the trash can properly and is constantly falling into the liner bags. I’m always having to dig it out of the trash.If I had it to do all over again I would’ve paid more and gotten a better trash receptacle.

I love my garbage can! If my hands are dirty or full I can put my hand over open and it opens. One problem is my dog has figured out to open it also. He opened it twice but has left it alone since. His sister will not go near it.
