I have the worst balance, but this device is helping change that!
My Physical Therapist is the first person who showed me this balance board, and had me use it. I liked the results so much that I bought my own and use it often. It helps me in a number of ways:1. It gets my knees and hips moving.I just had hip replacement surgery and am fast approaching a knee replacement. This little board helps me get those joints moving, which helps build strength, flexibility, and gets the fluid moving to help with arthritic pain.2. It helps me build balance. I don't know what happened, but once I arrived at middle age, I became the kind of person who would be in handcuffs quicker than a sneeze if a police officer tried to get me to complete a field sobriety test, based upon the fact that I can barely stand on one foot for more than a second without tipping over. It's bonkers! Using this board is helping me practice and build my balancing skills AND build my confidence. Because I definitely lack it when it comes to feeling stable on one foot.3. It's an inexpensive, well-made device. Simple to use, yet packs a therapeutic punch!

Just like the one at physical therapy
This board is great for working on balance- particularly for doing physical therapy exercises at home. Got it a couple of months ago, and so far it has performed well and seems well built.

Helps with balance
My pt had me use a board similar to this. We owned a couple of round ones but they are too challenging for me. This board is perfect! Recommend

Great for PT or helping with balance
I used something similar to this in PT for my ACL&PCL tears and wanted one for home. Its super perfect for the exercises i learned in PT and to add more for strengthening and increasing balance!

Functional but a little shoddily made
I like this. It’s supposed to be rated to handle 350lbs so I needn’t have worried, but it feels stable and secure beneath my 195lb weight, which is a relief. It seems well balanced and stands perfectly centred on its rockers when not in use, and from the brief test I’ve given it so far I can see myself using it regularly while watching TV (my favourite kind of exercise: something I can do without a whole lot of effort while also doing something more interesting). It seems to function exactly as intended, so no complaints there. On the negative side, this isn’t a particularly polished product. I can see a noticeable gap between the wooden base and one of the rockers. The wood has been chipped and dented in places, and on the side I felt a small splinter that could have caused me some bother if I hadn’t noticed and removed it. If a kid produced this as a wood shop project you might be impressed. For a company to sell it? Meh, maybe not so much.It also arrived in an unsealed plastic bag without any kind of cushioning. In transit it seems the bag slipped away a little and exposed the sandpaper-like grippy surface of the board (like the surface of a skateboard), and there was a little friction damage where it scuffed against the box.All in all, though, I guess I’m happy. This thing is just functional. It does the job but doesn’t look particularly pretty, which is reflected in the price. If you want a balance board to look good there are others available at a higher price, but if you just want one that does the job and doesn’t care about its looks then you’ll be satisfied with this.
