Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner, 4.2-Ounce

Unfortunately this entire line has been discontinued. Replaced by a similar one. Just about to get my first toner from the new line. So this review is essentially meaningless. But nonetheless this WAS an awesome product!

I purchased this after it was recommended by my skincare guru Caroline Hirons. I honestly didn't see any difference in my skin with the use of this toner. It smells nice and it didn't irritate my skin, but it didn't really do anything at all. I have stopped using it and replaced it with Paula's Choice 2% BHA toner, which is absolutely amazing!!

Pure liquid, like water. Expected exfoliating granules. Disappointed, expensive. I returned the product.

I have olive/tan combination skin that is prone to oiliness in the heat. That said, I also have some dryness under my eyes, on my forehead and on my chin. I wanted to use a gentle toner to balance out my conflicting issues - something that would be hydrating, softening and exfoliating for the dry patches but also cleansing/cooling/toning for the oiliness and my pores. Cut to the chase: I already LOVE this stuff nearly a week into using it. The texture feels so luxurious - thicker than I would have thought - like a jelly serum perhaps due to the glycerin, and it's so easy to smooth over the skin with a cotton pad. I have absolutely no stinging or redness from this, and even though the packaging warns against usage around the eyes, it's super gentle and effective there which is the main reason why I bought it (seriously, I've had some small milia under my eyes, and this has made all the difference a few days later!!!!!). For the price, I wish this bottle was bigger, but I am willing to pay more for the smoothness, the brightness and the overall clarity of my skin.

Saw this on Caroline Hirons beauty mouth and heard great things. Tried it and LOVED it. I noticed a difference in my skin immediately. Smaller pores, more even texture, no break outs. It feels great on my skin and alSo smells nice. I plan on purchasing another one before this one runs out. Everyone should have this in there Skin care routine!

I just can't be without it. First tried it a year ago. Was very disappointed when I could not find them anywhere, that's when amazon came to the rescue. I wouldn't even classify this as a toner, for me it works best as an exfoliater. I have oily skin prone to blackheads but get dry flaky patches too. This pretty much eliminated the problem of flaky patches on my cheeks. Whenever I feel dryness I just use this in the evening before my moisturizer and in the morning my skin looks and feels great. I don't always use it every day, sometimes only a couple times a week, sometimes every other day depending on how my skin feels. Just love it and hope it is not being discontinued any time soon. Its pricier than other products I use but a little goes a long way and its totally worth paying extra for me.
