Really helps
Works pretty well. I was despairing of the slugs and snails munching on my dahlia shoots. I’d used nematodes but without much success. This definitely stopped them in their tracks and let my plants start to grow. Not the cheapest to buy but I would definitely use it again. I wish I could buy it by the metre!

Nice wool mat, slugs like it too
I used this initially to stop slugs from eating the fern, instead they slid on by not bothered by the wool at all. Now using it for keeping the courgettes dry and protected.

Great for pots & planters, less good on open ground
I've used this material with great success to cover the entire surface of a pot or planter. However, there's a problem on open ground. It seems to repel large mature slugs and snails, but tiny immature snails still get to the plants. Presumably, they can travel underneath the mat.

50% Successful
Does not completely stop Slugs and Snails but has reduced the amount of Runner Bean Plants being eaten.

So far so good....
I'm on a mission to find a natural way to deter slugs and snails. So far this seems to be effective. It's easy enough to use and hasn't blown away so I'm quietly optimistic. It smells a bit if you get up close but why would you want to?

Not very effective
This product may have reduced the numbers of attackers (slugs and snails) but there are still some that venture over these defences.
