Better than most
I like the whole set up and it certainly holds the phone in place. It blocks the speaker so if your using a MOOV app and pod, Forget about hearing anything unless you wear buds. I have it on my mountain bike so wearing buds is out of the question when I'm on trails with others. If you are use to fingerprint mode to unlock your phone while riding, that won't work either, since it won't read through the protective cover. I've had several other types of holders on my bike and either they move all over or you'll need to be careful that your phone doesn't come off. Today I went and rode some serious trails where the other holders failed. This unit keeps the phone firmly in place and has a quick release. Those are the two most important features to me. At the end of the ride, it was in the same place as when I entered the trails. I normally keep my iphone 6Plus in an otterbox. I would like a Quad Lock that can be used with the exterior portion of an otterbox in which you can hear and use the features of the phone as you ride. Also I purchased this unit used from Amazon. This was my first time and you won't be dissapointed, it was a savings of 24 plus dollars over new.

Intuitive and meets expectations.
I'm currently training in a high school MTB team. I've been serious about it for a while and I'm starting to track my fitness (heart rate, cadence, speed, distance, etc.). I needed a device to help keep my phone within reach to periodically see my stats or answer a call.So far this Quad Lock and case has been meeting expectations. It's pretty simple and intuitive and just plain holds my phone, so I'm happy. The case is pretty cool and sleek, and doesn't seem out of place with other cases.I will come back to review on durability, I haven't fallen or hit it as of yet, but I have broken a rubber band on accident. No biggie.Recommended.

Apparently it does something weird to my phone and makes it think the battery is dead
I have used this on my bike twice, and it does some weird thing - maybe with the buttons, I'm not really sure. But it makes my phone think it's dead and needs to be plugged in. I plug it in, and the phone re-starts up fine. Problem is that it kind of defeats its own purpose.EDIT: Alright I think I know what the problem is - the iPhone 6s Plus has a protection device inside it that reads a low battery and turns off the phone when it is TOO COLD OUTSIDE. This thing does work well, but it does not work well in cold weather due to the limitations of the phone. I updated to 5 stars because it does work great in warm weather.

Quality Solid Bicycle Phone Mount
Built well and guarantees phone will not detach from the bicycle. The only negatives are the price which is a bit high for what you get as well as the protective plastic phone covering for inclement weather. The covering works well to protect but makes it almost impossible to interact with the phones screen. Once again, a very solidly built product and my confidence is high that no bump will knock it off. Several mounting options for handlebar or stem so it will most likely find a nice place on your bike. Others may be cheaper and maybe perform similarly but I will give this a high rating for confidence from about 500 miles ridden on my road bike on not just street but bike trails hitting the occasions hard railroad tracks and curbs. If you want to protect your phone but have it accessible, this is a pretty good choice.

GREAT PRODUCT!
GREAT PRODUCT!!!!! I've rode several times with this!! I'm able to ride with my Bluetooth headphones and not worry about cords or missing important phone calls. I'm able to use many applications for riding and tracking my progress of every ride. I don't really need a bike computer, however, the longer the ride - the more phone battery is being used. I will probably end up buying a computer just to spare my phone from being drained. Nevertheless, this is an item a road cyclist must have!

The mount feels quite sturdy on even bumpy rides
Users cover the smartphone with a proprietary case, and the mount kit uses strong rubber bands or zip ties to fasten the stable mount to the bicycle handlebars. You angle the phone roughly a quarter turn to the side to attach the phone, and there is a blue rounder that you press down to release from the mount. The mount feels quite sturdy on even bumpy rides, and I'm quite happy with the kit's function overall. In response to earlier criticism, the mount kit even adidtionally holds a rain "poncho" that covers the front of your phone in case of inclement weather. The missing 5th star is simply because the price feels a bit high to me, all things considered.

No need to think much before picking this one (some suggested improvement)
Just got this and I'm already pleased. Took 5 min to install. I used the zip ties, to get a secure fit. My only suggested improvement is for the manufacturer to include a small rubber square piece that can go between the mount and the stem/handle. The curvature on each bike is likely to be different and it'll lead to less slippage. That said, the mount is fairly secure and withstood a fair amount of speed and bumps quite well. Overall very pleased with the mount, quality of the case and the mechanism. The one thing I'll wait to comment on is how the case influences heating of the phone. I threw out my previous case (one with a plastic cover in a zip case) because it caused severe heating. I need my case to keep the phone secure for 2-3 hours, allow continuous Bluetooth functionality, run my fitness app and withstand California sunshine without causing the phone to overheat. I'll report back on that after a few runs. It looks great on the bike as you can see from the pics.[Update 9/28/2015]Took my iPhone 6plus mounted on the quad lock out for a 3 hr ride in the sunshine. No heating problem. Worked like a charm. I like it a lot now and have changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Best Unit Available
I've tried three other products for holding my iPhone 6+ on my road bike and this is the best. Easy to mount, easy to remove and replace the phone. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I would like to see the mechanism made of aluminum. Afterall we are trusting a $600 phone to 20 cents plastic part. Not that I've had any problems.

Easy to fit, superbly well made, it just works. Perfect. Recommended...
I really like this.It was easy to fit, there are rubber bands to hold it in place on the handlebar stem, and cable ties to make sure. (I like that, my iPhone 6S plus was expensive and so I want to be confident it will not fly off!)The phone sits snugly in the case which is made up of a back and a front. The front is also sold separately as a poncho, which I bought thinking it was a waterproof cover, but it was provided as part of this kit. (SO I have a safe now)I really wanted this so I could use Google Maps, and Strava.I agree with other reviewers that at times it would be useful to be able to tilt the phone as the glare of the hot Yorkshire sun can obscure the screen, however we rarely see Yorkshire sun and so it is not a huge issue.Everything is well made, and it just works. Perfectly. Recommended.

Surprisingly awesome!
I have to admit I was very skeptical of this product, but figured instead of purchasing a Garmin for my fitness rides I'll just use Strava on my iPhone and therefore plumped for a quad lock. This thing is actually really really awesome. I mainly ride enduro and honestly never had any intention of ever using the quad lock on the trails (just for fitness rides), but it is actually secure enough to use. Couple it with an out front mount and it becomes even more secure, plus you can invert the mount to protect your phone on some of the gnarlier downhills. You can also attach a go pro adapter which is excellent (it won't fit if you invert the out front mount though). The case supplied for your phone is actually tougher than my old otter box and slimmer. If the lock part had turned out to be rubbish (which it isn't) I'd be happy just with the quality of the case.It also withstands crashes! I have genuinely whammied this mount straight into rocks around 30kph and the mount, case and phone were all fine. My shoulder and hip aren't, but as long as my bike and phone are okay who cares!

Does as it says and is very sturdy. I was cautious at first ride
Keeps your phone secure on rides.Does as it says and is very sturdy. I was cautious at first ride, but it help up on my MTB rides through the bumps, jumps and weather. You eventually buy into the Quad lock ecosystem as the case is fantastic and easily connects to the bike kit.Been using now for 6 months with no issues.

Surprisingly sturdy even without using the cable ties
Surprisingly sturdy even without using the cable ties! Will probably put cable ties on it just do make it a bit harder to steal if I leave my bike locked up somewhere. Case is nice, would have been nice if it was a slightly grippier material as this one is pretty slick meaning that if you're wearing semi loose trousers it could fall out of your pocket quite easily.Only tested the poncho out briefly in my dry living room, couldn't even type in my passcode as it was so un-responsive. I'm hoping that it was an error on my part and when it comes time to actually using it in the rain whilst on the go, that it performs as advertised!

Great kit!
Very easy to install, perfect fit! I have an Electa bike, and this bike kit tuned it up :-) Now I can see who's calling, turn on the navigator and so on.Very sturdy and reliable even on bumpy roads. And the case itself is very lovely - protects iPhone from all the sides. I keep the phone in this case now even when I donit bike, though I have also leather cases.Totally recommend!
