Hinged Knee Brace for Men and Women, Knee Support for Swollen ACL, Tendon, Ligament and Meniscus Injuries

I’m two months out from ACL surgery and got the green light to switch from my bulky post-op brace to a “functional acl brace.” This is several pounds lighter than my old brace, but feels just as secure and stable. I’ve been using it for two days now for walking and doing physical therapy and I love it. The metal hinges are strong and the brace stays put unlike my old brace, which would slide down my leg after a few hours. I’ve been keeping the main velcro sides together and sliding it on because those sides are itchy if they’re not lined up perfectly. Get it perfect once and never worry about it again by sliding it on instead of strapping each time. The four additional velcro straps provide plenty of extra security and tightness. Would absolutely recommend, especially at this great price (about 20-30 less than other functional acl braces on amazon).

I've spent a good amount of time in this brace since I bought it a few months ago, and so far, I really like it overall. It gives the stability I need, and bends in all the right ways. It has minimal rub or pinching issues, which are fixed with slight adjustments.However, when I bought the brace, one of the hinges was bent inwards somewhat, which was causing pain and pressure on the inside of my knee. I was able to bend it back into position by just pulling on it, and it's stayed in place since. My main issue with this brace is the how quickly the inner most velcro flaps seems to be giving up. Luckily, the outer straps are doing well, and keep everything together.After wearing this brace nearly every day for the last month, there are holes starting on the fabric covering the hinges, but I can't say I'm surprised.Decent comfort and stability/support, and as someone with sensitive skin and hypermobile joints, wearing over pants has been a great fit (just wish this came in XS!)

I had IT Band syndrome "Runner's knee " causing pain from glute tendon to left lateral knee. This hinged knee support combined with my IT Band exercises, resolved my issue. The knee brace was supportive, yet flexible allowing me to work and perform my daily activities. Comfortable, adjustable, fit under my jeans and stayed in place.

Waiting for ACL surgery and needed a brace to help me hobble along until then. I borrowed one from a friend and it was a bit clunky. After reading some reviews I picked this one.Some reviewers said it was difficult to put it on. After figuring out which way is up(the side with longer wrap around velcro) I didn't have any trouble getting on or off. I was on edge of small/medium and took advice to go smaller, which was a good call. Gives good stability for walking or going up stairs. Feels pretty solid and fits well. Over clothes is better as the straps rub a little when put directly on knee. can probably wear another knee sleeve or my friend suggested using a bandana to cover the areas where it's rubbing. That is the only con I can find.Only had a few days so can't speak to the durability but so far so good. At this price point it was a bargain.

Positive: 1) the velcro bands make it easy to put on and take off, 2) the bands are adjustable so I could get the brace to fit properly around my small knee/leg. 3) The metal hinge prevented the medial (meniscal) pain that I sometimes had from playing pickleballNegative: 1) the opening in the back of the brace made it very uncomfortable for me to bend my knee. Thick fabric from the straps would dig into my skin if I bent knee more than 45 degrees. Perhaps wearing the brace over thick pants would prevent that, but I wore it on hot summer days.

My Wife's has problems with pain in her knees. The doctor suggested this brace to help stabilize her knee and prevent her from "twisting" her knee and causing very painful movement. It's been several weeks now and it has really helped to prevent her twisting her knee. It worked so well we bought a second one for her other knee that was just beginning to hurt like the other knee. If you have a problem with your knees caused by making a twisting movement I would recommend asking your Doctor if he thought a brace like this would help.

I am having recurring knee buckling issues. Decided the neoprene knee sleeves just are not giving enough support, I started looking for a good hinged knee braces at an affordable price. Reading reviews it looks like this may be it. All 5-stars and reasonable price. Amazon Prime is 5-star as usual but I am writing a product review. Package looks decent and workmanship appear top notch, until I tried putting it on. I cannot adjust it to a position which does not create abrasion. It feels like a sting even when I just sit there. I searched and adjusted in every which way I can think of and it moves but does not go away. The cause of it is the mismatch of the size of the Velcro and alignment. It leaves 1 little triangular shaped Velcro pressing on the skin. There is no way to adjust to not be rubbing on the skin, It is either at the top or bottom of that tape. It is the sizing of the Velcro being just 1/4" bigger, and I can NOT not tighten up the Velcro otherwise it is not giving compression and support. It is to me a design and quality control issue. Otherwise the brace appear well put together and will last. I cannot believe it only happens to me. Disappointed. Return it and start searching again.
