Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Eye Liner # Penny Lane, 0.01 Ounce

I've purchased this product from Amazon twice after buying it store (I'm having trouble remembering where I originally bought it) and it's a keeper. This has become my favorite eye liner. I'm 40 yrs old and have experimented with many eyeliners over the years and this one just hits the mark for me. It is very black, no blue undertones, easy to apply, always shrarp, it stays on well, does not smear or fade easily and washes off well enough without having to hurt my sensitive eye area. It is my understanding that the cap contains a sharpener within it that sharpens every time you twist the cap into place. Tip: to extend the life of this liner do not fully twist the cap on after every use as it does run out fairly quickly. As far as eyeliner is concerned this product is somewhat pricey at about $10 but well worth it.

I have been using this eyeliner for years, and I still love it. I have tried other brands, but nothing beats this Always Sharp. I have really sensitive skin, so I appreciate that it doesn’t cause me any issues or cause styes to form. My favorite part about it, outside of how easily it glides on, is that you can sharpen it with the cap. I prefer my eyeliner thin, so this feature is key for me. It also doesn’t smudge easily and it comes off quickly with makeup remover. I really hope Smashbox doesn’t stop making this because it is my absolute favorite. I’ve got it in Raven, but I’m even thinking about branching out to other colors. It is just the best.

My favorite eyeliner, period. Have repurchased many times, will repurchase again. The only con is it runs out slightly more quickly than if you have an eyeliner you don't sharpen between every single use and it kind of breaks off unexpectedly when it's out, but I don't know what else you could expect from an eyeliner that literally self-sharpens. I think it applies totally easily and is idiot-proof if you're not great at putting on eyeliner, and once on it REFUSES to smudge or move on my eye until I use makeup remover. I now find imperfections and smudges in any other brand of eyeliner that I've never noticed problems with before, it's just that none look as perfect on as this one.

Excellent for its non-smudging quality. Alas, not very much of the product is in the tube and suddenly it's gone...Perhaps they could provide more of the product? A wonderful product, but there is not much of it for the cost. Love it, but it doesn't last very long due to how little product is provided.

This became one of my favorite liners after my first time using it. The liner I had used for over a decade was unavailable when I went to purchase as they were “revamping” it so I had to choose a filler option. I ended up really liking this “filler option” product. When my normal liner came back out on the market I didn’t like it as much as I had the first 10+ years of using it so I purchased one of each so that I had options for whatever mood I was feeling (the main liner was more smudgy). This was the first time I’d purchased the Smahbox product through Amazon and not through a brick and mirror cosmetics retailer. The liner sucked. It wouldnt go on my eyes. Like at all. I tried sharpening it, wetting it..it just wouldn’t work. Then it started flaking when I would try to apply it. I ended up having to purchase a different one elsewhere and was unable to return this liner through Amazon since I had thrown away the box (I threw it away the day it arrived not thinking there would be any issue but didn’t use it until that next week). Maybe it’s a coincidence, or just a bad batch, but because of that experience I will no longer purchase makeup through Amazon.

Love this eyeliner, have been using for years. Always smooth and love that it self sharpens.
