Emkay Altar Candles 8 X 7/8 Stearic- 36 per carton (36 Pack)

I have been ordering altar candles for my church for over 27 years and these are the worst we have ever received. I thought I was ordering the same brand/type, and they appeared to be, except for the horrible mess they make with the melted wax, as you can see in the picture. I usually order from Cokesbury, but the last ones I ordered on Amazon were fine. Will be going back to Cokesbury. Anyone want to buy 2/3 of a box that we have left?!

We use these candles weekly in church burning a pair at a time. They are designed to be one use burn to the end but we have used them for about an hour to an hour and a half at a time for years. They last us anywhere from four to six weeks of services and a box lasts us somewhere around 18 months to two years. Many churches have converted to burning refined oil and perhaps someday we will too, but for now these are a nice candle. They burn well, uniformly and don't smoke. One caution - overhead ceiling fans disrupt the flame and the way the candle burns due to air currents. We shut our front fan off over the candles while they are lit.
