NAXA Electronics MP3/CD Boombox with Bluetooth

I was very hesitant to order this boom box due to previous bad reviews but it seemed most of them were not based on the performance while the stereo was working but rather the fact that it was broken/non-functional right from the beginning- so I figured I 'd take the risk and have to accept that fact that I might have to return it if it was a lemon. I had a little more confidence since I have previously purchased 2 Naxa boom boxes mostly since they let me play mp3s from a USB stick. This one ups the ante from those versions since it adds blue tooth.Anyway, I have only had the stereo for a week but it has met all my expectations. I have already used it to play regular CDs (have not tested and mp3 CDs yet), played from USB, the AM/FM tuner, and from Bluetooth. All methods ave been flawless and that above all else is why I bought this boombox. It is the only one I have seen that plays back from almost all common means (CD+AUX+USB+BT) while also having AM/FM radio. The only downsides so far is that the sound quality maybe isn't the greatest when turned up to full volume, but this isn't a huge issue to me since it is at a family cottage and we are not using it to wake the dead. And also, the flashing light is annoying but it can be turned off easily and stays off unless it is unplugged.I will update in the future if any issues come up but so far so good with this one!

i've owned 2 of these boomboxes and both were defective and returned to amazon, who admirably sent a UPS truck to pick them up.1. first unit had a noticeable/annoying AC hum thru the speakers or body while connected to an outlet .. hum went away while on batteries.2. second unit worked fine for a few days, and then the sound thru the speakers was gone .. i turned it off while taking a shower and turned itback on and the sound lasted about 10 secs. and gradually faded to silence again.i hope this helps anyone considering purchasing this item.

Everything seems to work as it should, and sound quality is good. I have not tried all modes yet. First thing I noticed was there are no speaker grills, i.e. bare speakers exposed. I would gladly pay the extra 50 cents to have the speaker grills. Serious omission. The other very annoying flaw is a moderately loud click at the end of each track on a CD. Very serious flaw in my opinion. Somewhat disappointed in this product.

Just what my son was looking for

After only a few hours of use the speakers let out a loud skreeching noise. No matter which mode it is in. Tapping the top causes it to stop the noise but in few minutes it comes right back. I highly suggest you don't buy this stereo.

I have had good luck with this for the most part. It has been very good sound wise when playing music via the USB and as a blue tooth device. I have had hell buying blue tooth speakers, the small kind and pairing them. They don't work without pairing and inspiring or not pairing at all. This makes a chirp when paired. A few of the small blue tooth devices I used and struggled with talk to me to say they are paired. One I have now does it in a thick Asian accent which everyone in my house hates, but it is small enough for the kitchen.The boom box is big, like a shelf stereo, but it puts out great sound.I have used it for CDs and it is kind of temperamental about scratches, unfortunately having CDs as long as I have they aren't perfect. You may need to turn up the sound or else it is a little like a record player where you hear the movement of the disk The radio is OK. I live in the sticks and reception is not great.There is a line in so you can use it with other devices. The light is colorful but you can shut it of by depressing the equalizer button for five seconds. For what this is, it is a nice stereo. It is frustrating that no one makes a decent book box any more. I have gone through many. I use it mostly for the blue tooth, line in, or playing songs burned on to a USB drive plugged into it.
