Madden Girl Women's Cactuss Boot

I've been searching for a black riding boot for sometime (with no success) that I LOVE and has a colored zipper going up the back. These Madden Girl Women's Cactuss Boots seemed like they would be the perfect choice. Unfortunately, they did not measure up and I returned them.These boots were pretty pricy and thus I felt I really needed to LOVE them in order to keep them. I usually were a 9-9.5 in boots. These boots weren't available in a 9.5, so I purchased the 9. They were a tad too small, but a 10 would have been way too large. Ultimately though the sizing wasn't really the reason why I returned them. I probably would have done the same even if I had purchased a 9.5.I had a difficult time getting my heal into these boots despite the zipper in the back going virtually down to the bottom. I felt like my heal was getting hitched up on the heal of the boot. I have average size calves and the shaft of the boot fit fine around my calves.The biggest downfall of these boots was that they were extremely uncomfortable and that was just having them up. I can't imagine wearing them for any amount of time and actually walking around in them. I want riding boots with no heal because I feel they will be more comfortable than my typical black heeled boots. This was not the case with these Madden Girl Women's Cactuss Boots though.The bottoms of these boots feel like I am standing on very hard cardboard or a block of wood. There is absolutely NO cushion. The boot itself feels like it is made out of thick cardboard, which definitely is NOT worth the cost of these pricy boots.Overall, I was not happy with this purchased and I returned it. The boot is beautiful to look at...very trendy, fashionable and cute. Unfortunately, it was pricy, a tad too small, difficult to put on and really uncomfortable.

Sooo I had the Brown loved them so much so that I decided having these in a pair of black was a must. These boots are AWESOME, you can dress them up or down, they go GREAT with jeans or dresses. You can wear them all day with no worries of aches or pains. The boots are lined and they offer support. They are a little edgy but definitely have a girly look. The fit my legs just right, I wanted something that was gonna have a slim fit but not a snug fit which is what these give me. They have some distressing to them again something I love. All in all a great, I'll get many wears from these with many different outfits :)

I almost returned these boots. I've 5'9" and they fall an inch or so below the knee, which was higher than I thought I wanted. They ankle area is also a little slouchy, which again I wasn't sure I wanted. I'm a big fan of Frye boots but too cheap to purchase them myself but that was the look I wanted. Anyway, I was going to return them and had brought them to work to use one of our boxes to send them back. I decided I'd give them one last try on and walked around the office to see if I was certain I didn't want them. Everyone LOVED them. They were also surprising comfy once I actually spent some time in them. I'm glad I went against returning them because they really are adorable. I've worn them to a casual wedding with a floral dress and cardigan, and over some skinny jeans. I love the zipper detail on the back. Very cute boots, I'm glad I went outside by comfort level.

I love these boots. They are very comfortable as well. I wear a size 8 and they fit perfect. The black is like a destroyed look, so it makes it look kinda light black or dark grey. But I love the look of the boot. It has a wide red zipper down the back of the boot with studs going all the way down on each side of the zipper. I also bought the brown pair as well. They are perfect for a not so cold day, the lining is a soft foam material. My feet did not sweat or smell do to the synthetic materials. The boot comes up right under my knee, I am about 5'6. They are not tight around calf area, but they do not sag either they stay up just fine and I have skinny legs. This is my 3rd pair of Madden Girl boots, and I love them all. They are very durable.

I so had anticipated these boots, A new Steve Madden design! I'm very familiar with his style and really like it...I've got a couple pairs of his shoes. However when I got my package on time and in good condition, I tore open the box with boot socks already on my feet ready for some breaking in of my new boots. Upon opening the box I saw what I had ordered and all i could do was gasp at the site of these things...I picked them up and they felt like they had been discharged from the local bubble gum machine out of China...I couldnt believe it...Steve Madden sold out...I sent those things back and now I know not to order anything else from this designer. Such a shame too.

I have been in love with the Steve Madden black boots with red zippers in the back for the last 5 years. If you look at my other reviews you will see this. My beloved Lindley boots (The real leather ones) I wore to death and they needed a trip to the shoe repair to be re-soled, but it is the heart of Winter and I didn't want to go without boots. I was thinking of buying a 2nd pair of Lindley boots, but alas, they no longer sell them. Amazon recommended these. They fit very much like my other boots purchased from them. These are nice and roomy in the calf, they are built sturdy. I only dropped one star because the black is not black, it is more like a very dark grey. Otherwise, totally awesome!

These are great boots. I wear a 9 to 91/2. The 9 still has room in the boot. Great look and love the back zipper. HOWEVER....as another buyer stated, these are grey!! I really wanted black and the pictures on any website--as well as the "Black Paris" indicate black. Truly, it should say "Slate-Grey" or something more appropriate to the color.I am debating keeping them or exchanging for another color. Grey isn't matching the black bag or belt that I hoped would go with these! I bought them knowing the possibility but hoping they would be less grey than they are. I haven't seen a lot of grey boots like this....a little weird.Super cool design, though. And yes, large loose calf. Almost a bit too wide for me. For the color/ fit I give them three stars. Four for the design.
