I have used this gripper on striper and catfish. 10 to 20 lb. Range. Works great. The scale is on the handle post rod and very hard to read. Scale 👎. But the gripper is 👍 great.

I'm in the northeast, it handles blues and bass well. Not only does it handle fish and weigh it, there's a great safety feature, the handle SPINS!!! This is great when big fish tend to try to muscle their way off therefore puts less pressure on you as you hold the fish. The only other fish gripperthat is like this is the BOGA. Let that sink in.

Works great, held onto this 10lb Freshwater Drum with ease and holds it's grip very well. The lb weights are hard to ready, just rub magic marker on it and it will darken the letters. It's a good alternative to the Boga Grip!

This does a great job holding a fish while removing hooks. Saves on getting a treble hook in the hand. Also, helps in release of trout you want to survive. The weight scale is difficult to see.

i use it a lot for big fish 5 to 15 pounds it hold really tight. specially tuna and and cod.

First I ordered the wrong item. I thought this came with a digital read out. Instead the weight scale is engraved on the scale. The markings on the scale are very difficult to read. I might have kept it since I was leaving for a week long fishing trip. But I could not read the mrkings on the scale.

Great for Bass or Walleye!

It will work as a lip grabber, but you cannot read the scale for the weight.If you are buying it for the scale look elsewhere.
