Amazing travel
Amazing travel mug I am extremely happy with this travel mug. The size, shape and colour are perfect, and it is very comfortable to use. The quality is excellent and it keeps drinks hot for a very long time. I especially love the additional leak-proof safety feature, which gives me confidence to carry it in my bag without worrying about spills. I am genuinely impressed with this product. I would definitely recommend it to others and would happily buy it again.

My Saviour!
I have a serious drink problem… namely that I often fall asleep while watching tv and drinking a cup of tea sat up in bed, only waking up once it’s burning me and has soaked the bedding and mattress. Yes, I know I should probably stop drinking tea and coffee in bed, but I’m disabled so spend the majority of my time in bed, so I can’t stop or I’d probably dehydrate! In an effort to solve this burning (sic) problem, I have tried many different types of leakproof travel mug of varied prices, with varying degrees of success. Usually even the most leakproof end up spilling because I fall asleep before screwing the top back on or pushing the nozzle back down. It’s like I have tea-induced narcolepsy, but only in bed! 😆 THIS MUG IS MY SAVIOUR!!! Finally I’ve found a mug that won’t spill if I fall asleep, because it only allows liquid out when I’m pressing the button - it’s sealed by default! Hurrah!!! I cannot tell you what a relief it is to know I don’t have to forego my favourite hot beverages, I don’t have to change my bedding 2 or 3 times a week in the middle of the night due to tea spillage, and I don’t have to worry about ruining yet another mattress due to it being wet all the time! Much rejoicing has been done in this dojo, because of this wonderful mug and its fantastic autoseal feature that makes it completely leakproof except when I’m pressing the button to open the drink hole. Yes, this mug is pricey, even the sale price I paid could buy a couple of different brand mugs - but they are vastly inferior to this wonder of the mug world. Rather than pricey, I would describe it as ‘premium’, a high quality drinking device that’s worth its weight in gold, because it’s solved what was a massive problem for me. Apart from that, it’s a great-looking mug, it keeps drinks hot for hours, and it’s easy to clean - the autoseal mechanism just pops out on a hinge for easy cleaning then you click it back in and you’re ready to go. Some things are expensive because they’re a rip off, some are expensive because they are very high quality and incredibly well put together. This mug falls into the latter category, it’s worth every penny. Heck I’ve even bought another in the Black Friday Week sale, I’m that impressed with them. A very easy two thumbs up for the best mug on the planet, I thank you and my mattress and sheets thank you, oh great inventors of autoseal 😁 👍🏻👍🏻

Good quality
Great coffee tumbler. Excellent one handed open/close and so far, leakproof. Keeps my coffee hot for about 3 hours before I start to notice it cooling. Still hot but you know what I mean. Will take a few knocks too. I’ve dropped this out of my truck and yes it has dented but still works great. It did make my coffee taste strange the first time I used it but that’s probably because I didn’t wash it properly before using it. Been fine ever since. I will be buying this again.

Leak proof, keeps drinks hot for 4-5 hours, but the coloured coating/paint needs improvement
This is a great travel mug. It’s a good size, leak proof, easy to drink from when in the car, and keeps my drinks hot for 4-5 hours or so. It’s so trustworthy that I can put it in my bag and I know it won’t leak at all. The lid can be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher, but the cup needs to be hand washed. I’d recommend washing it with a brush every day. You won’t be able to fit your hand in it to wash it with a sponge, and the staining builds up quickly if you’re using it for hot drinks like tea. The colours are lovely, but I really think the coating/paint needs to be more durable. I’ve got a Sho tumbler, which I love, but it’s not leakproof. However, the powder coating is much harder wearing on my Sho. I can push it into my car’s cup holder without any scratching. The contigo scratches so easily (my ring even managed to remove some paint the first time I unscrewed the lid). I certainly wouldn’t consider putting it in my car’s cup holder - it would scratch straightaway. If you’re buying a cup that’s a nice colour, the coating should be strong enough to withstand normal everyday usage, especially for the price (they seem to be over £30 now, whereas I paid £23 in November 2024). That being said, this is a great cup. I’ve had my other Contigo West Loop Autoseal Travel cup for 5 years. Yes, it’s scratched and has a dent from having been dropped, but it still works perfectly. I just think they need to improve the coloured coating in line with others companies.

Leak proof, stylish and tough
I’ve had my Contigo West Loop thermal cup for a couple of years now, and it’s still going strong. It still seals perfectly, with zero leaks, even after regular use. The build quality is excellent—solid metal body, durable top, and a nice sleek design that still looks great. As for insulation performance, it’s brilliant. It keeps hot drinks hot for hours and cold drinks cold for hours too—perfect for commuting, long drives, or just keeping coffee warm on a slow morning. The only downside is the ease of cleaning. The cup is quite deep, and the narrow opening combined with the sharp-ish lip where the plastic lid screws on makes it tricky to get your hand or sponge down to the bottom. I came up with a workaround: I squash a sponge inside and use a fork to spin it around at the bottom—works well, even if it feels a bit ridiculous. Other than that, this is easily one of the best thermal mugs I’ve used. It’s held up incredibly well, never leaks, and looks as good as the day I bought it. Summary: Durable, leak-proof, and keeps drinks at the right temperature for hours. The only minor drawback is the awkward cleaning, but it’s manageable with a bit of creativity. Still an excellent mug after years of daily use.

Looks Great, Works Perfectly
This item is used every day The only time it gets a day of is when I'm on Holiday. So far I'm very pleased with the colour and how easy it is to unscrew the lid off, But most of all how easy it is to clean inside the lid, many cups make it so hard to clean all the parts that keep it from leaking. Nice & easy to press the button in & that then lets your drink flow out. There is a locking button on there as well. Not really pushed it to see how many hours it would keep my coffee warm but I know i make a drink it sits there in the truck & 3 hours later the last few bits are still warm enough for me. I'm not a very Hot drinker so 55c to 45c is about right for me. I think it's a great cup, I bought this at a discounted price. I would have never paid full list price for this. Yes it's very good but not worth full list price in my opinion & yes it's only my opinion. Would I buy it again, Yes I would but only at the discounted price. Overall, I love the build, colour choices & design.

FINALLY! A travel mug worthy of travelling with...
Over the years, as my coffee addiction worsened, but my concern for using single use cups heightened, I tried various travel mugs to differing degrees of success. Some turned out to be too large necessitating the use of one of those giant camping backpacks, some leaked, some were difficult to clean, some failed to keep my drink warm for anywhere near the advertised times. However, I spotted the Contigo West Loop Autoseal Travel Mug or as I like to call it "the cup thingy" on sale on one of Amazon's ubiquitous "Deal of the Day". Now, every other travel mug or flask I've bought has, rightly or wrongly, come in a box from the manufacturer, the Contigo West Loop Autoseal Travel Mug (it just rolls off the tongue) was shoved in a lightly padded envelope from Amazon, which raised a bit of concern when I went to pick it up. Once home, I found that everything was fine. Washed and dried it, and the very next day I was at my local Greggs emporium ordering a latte and one of them there Steak Bakes (a fine bake but it comes a distant second to the magnificent Festive Bake). It was about then that I found out that the Contigo West... the cup thingy was a little on the small side to hold a large latte. The lid screws in, which pushes on the liquid, causing it to spill over. So I have to take a few sips first, before being able to screw the lid on. I found the same situation in Starbucks. It's just ever so slightly too small. Now, with liquid, I have yet to have any spillage from the cup thingy. It has an autoseal function and a locking mechanism to prevent any accidental pressing of the autoseal button when the cup thingy is lolling about in your bag. The blurb claims it'll keep your drink hot for up to 5 hours, which I guess is sort of true, as 2 hours is indeed "up to" 5 hours. Still, despite this, the cup thingy is a great little buy, I've only been using it for a few weeks, so it's possible too early to tell if it'll stand the test of time, but so far, so good. Whilst I'm not sure I'd pay the regular asking price, I am glad that I used a freebie Amazon voucher I had, and bought it on a "Day of the Deal", as it made the price a lot more palatable. EDIT: After a couple of weeks of use I have noticed several nicks and scratches on the paintwork. Sure it was bound to happen, even with careful washing and use, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon. I really want to drop it a half star, but as Amazon currently doesn't allow this I had to drop it a full star, but I really want to give this product 3 1/2 stars. I'm even more glad that I got this during a "Deal of the Day" and used a voucher to get it at a much lower price.

The best travel mugs
We love the Contigo mugs! Have used them for years. They keep hot liquids hot, never leak, and the one-handed action to unseal and drink is perfect when driving. My husband lost his favourite orange mug several years ago (there’s a family connection to that colour) so when we saw it, we bought it, despite the rather high price. He is happy.

Keeps hot drinks hot for quite a while and lightweight
Keeps hot stuff hot for a very long time. atleast 6 hours. Typically in other mugs I have noticed cold remain for longer but heat is generally lost fast, but this is much better. Also its very thin and fairly lightweight and doesn't feel like a thermos I am carrying around, makes it very handy for daily use. Lid is also easy to clean as it has a different system allowing u to get in and properly clean it. A bit expensive but then has been good to use.
