EVS Sports Axis Sport Knee Brace (Black)

The many regulation possibilities ensure that anyone can find a perfect fit. Therefore, although the braces are by no means lightweight, the perceived weight is negligible. Once you put your riding boots on the braces are prevented from moving up and down and thee feel becomes even more comfortable. They allow for a nice range of movement, though if you bend your knee to an extreme the two knee-cups tend to get briefly stuck before snapping back to place. This however is well out of the movement range used during riding. The only drawback I can think of is that the brace feels very wide at the knees and it takes a few days to get used to how it feels “grabbing” the bike with the braces on. Aside from this you will soon forget you are wearing them, while they offer very good protection. If you want better braces than this prepare to spend at least twice the price. In the same price range nothing I’ve ever tried really comes close.

It appears to be a well-made device, with at least one problem, it doesn’t protect your knee from hyper-extension and that's the main reason for buying this brace. I wore them one time and injured my knee, when I contacted the vendor their reply was "sorry to hear that". If you want to protect your knee this is the wrong brace.

A little bulky, but better than wearing a brace and a separate knee pad.They take some work to set up and tune in for your legs, but seem very durable.We'll see how they hold up this coming season...Update: I made a very expensive mistake.These braces are very uncomfortable to wear all day on the slopes. The straps really dig into the back of my legs, especially just below my knee. If I loosened them up then the brace slid down. I really had hoped these would work out.Anyone want a barely used pair in XL?

The braces were comfortable, and fit as expected, however, the one strap for the back of the knee tends to dig in and cause irritation when worn for a few hours. If they find a way to fix this, then they will be perfect and get 5 stars, because the rest of the brace is perfect!
