Hunter Wireless Rain Clik TRANSMITTER ONLY

Got it installed according to the manual. Working perfectly … so far.

I’ve had a Hunter sprinkler system for over 10 years. It was installed with a Rain Clik rain sensor which tells the system not to run when a certain amount of rain falls. Over the last few months I noticed that we’d have heavy rains, yet the system would still run the program.Suspecting that the Rain Clik transmitter’s non-replaceable batteries finally wore out, I asked my landscape company about installing a replacement Rain Clik. When they ignored my request, I ordered this unit, just the transmitter, and installed it myself.Installing it and pairing it with the Rain Clik receiver was very easy just following the instructions. Just do the pairing before attaching the transmitter to wherever it will go so you can have it in hand as you stand near the receiver. Doing it myself probably saved me $150 in installation costs.It’s possible that I could have just replaced the hygroscopic disks in the transmitter’s spindle, but the transmitter as a whole seemed rather weathered. I wanted to slam dunk the repair so I ordered a whole new transmitter. And it works.

This was a replacement for a 12 year old system, easy install and setup.

Plug and play. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

Oct 2016: I heard HUNTER will honor their warranty if you call them. They were GREAT! You have to tell them the printed date on the bottom of the unit to see if it's still in warranty... luckily, mine was! They had me send this unit in, and next thing I know, I have a brand new receiver AND transmitter sent to me! Wow! I'll add more stars because of this!JUNE 2015 NOTE: NO LONGER WORKING. It stopped sending a signal to the receiver. Trying to re-establish the connection now.. but not having luck. Battery shows to be fine, as it still flashes red when I press the black test button.MAY 2014 PURCHASE: I was a little worried, as this was a newer version of my broken Clik Transmitter. I was able to find the setup instructions online. I had to unplug my current system (make sure you're 9-volt battery back up is fresh) and press the 'learn' button on the transmitter until the light on my rcvr turned green. I had to do this a few times for it to take, but I'm pleased to report it worked the other day when it was raining. It did come with a mounting bracket. Nice.

My receiver was flashing red. I followed the online instructions and determined that the transmitter battery had died after 7 yrs. I ordered this replacement and it was an easy install following the instructions. If it’s mounted in a gutter you can just use the small connection screw instead of trying to install the new unit in the gutter. Much easier !

Bought the Wireless Rain-Clik Sensor as a replacement for the one that came with my irrigation system. When I received it, it seemed okay so I installed it and went through the set up.The battery was dead within a few days of receipt.This was a complete waste of money. It never worked.After answering questions over numerous emails, the customer service rep, "Jamie" told me I could send it back to a shipping address at my cost. Then warned that if it is not defective they would not credit my account. At this point, I do not trust this company, "Sprinkler Parts Wholesale".REDICULOUS customer service and worthless product.

The unit arrived as scheduled, well packaged and in perfect shape.Took less than 10 minutes to install and link to my existing Hunter rain detection receiver.Just had our first "rain" and the sensor inhibited the sprinkler system just as it is supposed to.Very pleased!
