Out of the fires of Orodruin, and forgotten for many centuries, the One Ring has passed unto me. I have had the pleasure of purchasing this artifact from a merchant for far below it's worth, in exchange I agreed to let my opinions of this Ring be known to the world*. I believe it may be safe to say this merchant knew not of the treasure they traded away.Unlike the other great rings, the One Ring holds no gem and has no intricate designs on it, at least at first glance. However on closer inspection you can see in elven runes on both the inside and outside of the ring, and in the language of the black speech the words (translated into English):One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.As the Ring has traveled from the realm of Middle Earth, it has lost some of it's magical properties. Since I have been in possession of it, I have not turned invisible or seen the invisible (wraiths or otherwise). The Ring has remained the same size from the time I have bore it to present, without it leaving me of it's own will. And I have not felt the presence of any other ring bearers. I will say that I have had a strong urge to keep it and the thought of losing it troubles me greatly.I have not verified Isildur's research by testing the mettle of this Ring, nor would I wish any harm to come upon it. But after several days of wearing and normal hand washing, it appears to have not changed in the slightest.When I first donned this Ring, it fit well as the merchant described it's size accurately, but it weighed my hand down with a weight I was not accustomed to. It is, however, becoming a natural weight to me, although quite a bit heavier than my wedding band. It is also fairly thick too, but not too much to be troublesome. If, for whatever reason, if this Ring didn't fit or was uncomfortable, a chain secured around the neck will keep this close to the heart at all times.All in all, I believe I will keep my precious for quite some time.*During a promotional period I received this ring at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

Great ring. It's actually etched, and it's actually metal. Something no other One Ring on Amazon seems to offer. Only 1 problem... I ordered the wrong size. But that's okay, because my wife wanted one and Christmas is in 7 days so i just ordered another for myself. It's a good ring for the price.Notice i said for the price. This ring is not real gold, it's painted, it doesn't make you invisible, and nazgul's aren't going to hunt you down for it. You gotta pay extra for that.

I scoured my library for the volumes to try to gather credible information, but was unable to find the particulars among all of them."And in the darkness bind them"Alas, I was unable to corroborate my hunch. I shouldn't be able to read the inscription without it being thrown into a fires anyhow. Either way it's a REALLY awesome ring. Turns out I ordered the wrong size so I gave this one to my 15 year old. I'll order another soon enough.

This is great! I had noticed that some of the rings had laser etching (the softer, lighter look to the writing) and some were embossed (as in the product picture). I was hoping for the embossed look, which, I think, is more pronounced, and I wasn't disappointed. I think some of the older rings had it laser etched and the newer ones have it embossed...? The only thing about the embossing is that you can feel the text a little more than if it were etched. I'm sure the feeling will wear down a bit as I wear it, but it isn't uncomfortable as is. Anyway, I'm really happy with it. Since it's titanium, it's really light and very comfortable to wear. The sizing is perfect, too.

I was surprised at the high quality of this ring. It's fairly weighty and feels nice on my finger. The size (11.5 for me) is perfectly stated in the chart, although I suspect the ring resized itself to fit me. After reading about carbide tungsten and some of the other reviews, I was worried that the ring might shatter if I were to drop it. Of course, within a week of receiving the ring, I accidentally dropped it on my tile floor. It pinged and bounced about a few times as if looking for a new owner to enchant. I was able to snatch up my precious quickly, intact, and it didn't have a scratch on it. The elvish etching is crisp and nicely spaced. My only complaint is that the elvish is a little hard to see in some lighting situations. Anyway, I highly recommend this ring.

Requested by my son as a Christmas present. It looks fairly decent, although I wonder if the inscription will wear away. He's happy with it, anyway.

The ring suits perfectly but there are some differences in the text compared to the movie version. Other than that the ring is amazing.

Could have been a 5 star rating with the nice engravings inside and outside of the ring. But there is no necklace that matches the ring...Hopefully the gold plating would last.
