Triple Eight Hired Hands Skateboarding Wrist Guard Gloves

These are truly bomber. If you ever come off your board at speed as I do, these will provide a high level of protection for your hands and wrists. I often can minimize scrape and impact injuries to other parts of my body by sliding to stop using the angled hard plastic palm/wrist struts instead of tumbling. Well worth the investment.

I ride a Floatwheel (cheaper/more powerful Onewheel) and heard horror stories of people breaking their wrists when falling. Ordered an XL and they fit great. I’m still able to grab my phone if I need to check something. Overall I’m highly satisfied with the quality, feel, and make of the gloves.

These are great if you need wrist and palm protection from falls for extreme sports. My wrists have been fractured and tweaked a lot in my life (and not even from skating) so I really mostly worry about them when I fall off my skateboards. These definitely make me feel more willing to push myself and my ability because they quite solidly protect the whole wrist and palm area and I can fall without having to put so much pressure on those areas. The bar that curves into the palm area is well placed and sturdy enough to hold my 200lb body, although I feel it's NOT well suited if you wanted to use them for downhill slide gloves (get gloves with the discs). You can wear these loose or really wrap the velcro strip tight, they stay on almost too well, but they provided a pull loop to help get them off. You can still quite easily use a phone or eBoard remote with these on, yea for cut off gloves! I forsee these lasting for a good time, but I will update my review if that changes.My only complaint is that the black dye they use for the fabric and strap came off on my sweaty skin for the first few wears (this is not easy to wash off, but it will go away). I have had this issue with other skating products that are black and believe it's a newer cheaper dye that many companies are using. I would gladly upgrade my my review to 5 star if y'all were to reach out to me and possibly change whatever dye(s) do this as I feel it's NOT good for me or any of your potential customers. This kind of dye will also permanently stain white clothing so also keep that in mind.With that said, this is one of the better extreme sport companies so these gloves are good, I just wish the dye would stay in the glove!

I’m on my second pair of these wrist guards.As someone who has a rebuilt wrist on one hand and a rebuilt thumb in the other, my hands and wrists need as much support as I can get. These have been, by far, the best I’ve found. I appreciate the full glove rather than having it just strapped around, and the thumb protection, as well.If you’ve had problems with your hands or wrists, these are what you’re looking for to keep them protected. Keep skating!

I measured my hand as they said, and I matched with a large. When I received them and tried them on, they were too tight. I had a hard time getting them off. I exchanged the large for an X-large, and they fit and feel great. I haven't fallen yet, and I hope never to fall.

My first pair I had to send back to Amazon due to imperfections in the stitching on the fingers. Each finger should have a double row of stitching at the top. My first pair had fingers that were missing that second row of stitches, presumably due to misalignment of the material during manufacturing. The first pair - sized small, manufactured in 2021 - fit rather tight despite being my correct size according to the size chart.This is my second pair and I’ve worn them on three occasions this week. The stitching and material quality of this second pair is markedly better than the first. This pair is also a size small and manufactured in 2021, but fits perfectly. Unfortunately, the paracord loop near the cuff has already failed on one of the gloves.I really like the level of protection these gloves offer. There’s decent padding in the palm. The wrist plates seem durable and it’s great that they are replaceable. Overall this feels better than every other triple 8 wrist guard I tried, because it fits “like a glove”!I have to leave my review at 3 stars right now due to inconsistencies between items and the current issue with the wrist loop. I will update this review when I can further comment on their durability over time.

Exactly what I was looking for. I feel so safe with these on. As a kid, I broke my wrist(s) 3 times, so I’m happy to take a little extra time to put these on before I go riding. There’s a wrist protection bar on the bottom AND top of the wrist. This is essential so that your wrist does not bend. You never know how you’re going to fall, and you never know when you will. I also like the added protection for your phalanges. Your fingers often time get road rash when you fall on your wrist. I like the glove since it helps protect more than other wrist guards you see. You also have your finger tips accessible so you can use your phone while you have these on. Just a great product all around.

Solid protection. Cool look. Comfortable to wear. Customer service was excellent.If you measure close to one of the size thresholds I would suggest choosing the larger size. My hand measured at exactly 9", and the large fits me well.
